L S Lowry You cannot now go out where people are assembled without seeing that WE ARE ALL IN LOWRY PAINTING Everybodys on the move hunched over you get great skies up in Manchester and a little scraggy dog My characters are real people, all my people are lonely, crowds are the most lonely thing of all. I wonder all the time WHAT IS THEIR LIFE?
- 3. L S Lowry You are going to copy a Lowry painting, but you are going to do as a group. Each person will come up to see the painting for 45 seconds and then return to their group to draw what they saw. When the first person returns, the second person goes up for their 45 seconds of looking. Then the 3rd person until everyone has been up once BEFORE YOU START THEREFORE YOU NEED A TEAM STRATEGY not just an order of people going up, but a PLAN the best copies of the painting will be done by those pupils who work best together as a team. You have 3 minutes to get a strategy.
- 5. Finished? Now you have drawn the Lowry painting .. Get together in your group and choose one person to go up a second time. Give this person clear instructions so that they can help correct where your group has not yet been successful in copying the painting.
- 6. Reflection time How well did your group do? What could you have improved on? What parts ofyour strategy worked well? What parts of your strategy didnt work well? When you have seen other groups copies think about what they did that you could have done
