National Book Award-winning poet Terrance Hayes will serve as writer-in-residence at Mississippi State University from February 9-13. Hayes has published five books of poetry and won numerous awards including a MacArthur Fellowship. While at MSU, Hayes will meet with creative writing classes, hold office hours, and participate in a discussion with African American Studies students. The writer-in-residence program brings acclaimed authors to campus to provide learning opportunities for students.
