Little Andy wanted to make lemon juice for her family but couldn't find any sugar. She asked herself what could make the juice sweet instead and gathered that honey, jam, and chocolate might work. Andy hypothesized that honey would taste good and did an experiment to test it. After tasting the lemon juice with honey, which was sweet, Andy concluded that honey could be used as a substitute for sugar in lemon juice when sugar is unavailable.
The document discusses different types of rotational and orbital motions of objects in space, including the Earth. It explains that the Earth's rotation on its axis causes day and night, while its revolution around the sun over the course of a year leads to seasonal variations due to changes in the sun's angle and day length. Examples of rotation are a top spinning on its axis or the Earth each day, while examples of revolution are the Earth orbiting the sun each year or the moon revolving around the Earth.
This document summarizes an update on searching in Drupal. It discusses improvements to the views user interface for searching, how Drupal's core search works and its SQL, and three patches to improve core search SQL performance. It also briefly mentions other search options like fuzzy search and faceted search. The document focuses on views-based searching and provides an overview of core search indexing, ranking, and queries. It examines the SQL for AND, OR, and exclude queries and proposes solutions to improve performance.
This presentation discusses the effects of rotation and revolution on Earth. Rotation is the movement of Earth on its axis, causing day and night as well as high and low tides. Revolution is Earth's orbit around the sun, which causes the four seasons due to the tilt of Earth's axis. Revolution also results in varying lengths of days and nights throughout the year and changes in the altitude of the midday sun.
1) The sun met and fell in love with the moon. They became friends and later married, having 8 children including Earth, Mars, Jupiter, and Neptune.
2) Their children grew up, but their city was later attacked by Milky Way. This caused the planets to scatter.
3) The planet Earth was punished for breaking rules. It was made into a beautiful planet for humans and life to exist, with water provided from mountains and the first humans developing from monkeys under the moon's influence.
This document contains poems about various celestial objects in the solar system including planets, moons, stars, and comets. It includes both haiku poems consisting of 3 lines with a 5-7-5 syllable structure and limerick poems consisting of 5 lines rhyming AABBA. The poems describe characteristics of objects like the sun being hot, Earth having life, Saturn having rings, and comets flying through space.
This slideshow is about two aushonats (jun and eman) taking an adventure to aterspace. Along the way they meet a alien named Morgan. Morgan hepls Jun and eman out through the rest of the trip.

A Story of eight planets with a Star Sun who lived happily. One day a meteorite came and hits the Earth and the Earth got tilted. After a few years, a plant grows upon the Earth. All the planets loved that because of Earth's tilt A life has grown. The Planet Saturn didn't like this and talked to Sun. The Sun gave him an excellent answer.?
The document introduces the planets of the solar system to a kindergarten class. It begins by showing a picture of the solar system and identifying the sun and Earth. It then discusses each planet individually, providing 1-2 facts about each planet's size, distance from the sun, and other characteristics. The document concludes by showing a drawing of the solar system by other kindergarten students and listing references used.

Chris shared with his brother Nick what he had learned about the Solar System in school. He discussed the different objects in the Solar System such as the Sun, eight planets, moons, asteroids and comets. Nick helped explain some of the key terms to Chris like orbit, planet, and dwarf planet. Chris was surprised to learn that Pluto is now considered a dwarf planet instead of a major planet. Nick also explained the differences between asteroids and comets to Chris. For his homework, Chris plans to write a summary of the inner and outer planets using science vocabulary, and create a labeled diagram of the Solar System.
The brochure welcomes aliens from the Andromeda galaxy to visit the Milky Way galaxy and its solar system. It provides descriptions of the sun and 9 planets in the solar system, including the terrestrial planets Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars, and gas planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. It also describes the asteroid belt and Kuiper belt that orbit the sun beyond the planets. The brochure aims to inform potential visitors about each celestial object and warns about dangers like extreme heat or atmospheres that cannot support life.
The sun begins thinking deeply about its purpose and existence. It wonders why it exists and where it came from. After many years of thought, the sun concludes that its purpose is to shine brightly for the people on Earth. The sun decides to work with the moon to provide more brightness. However, when they wake up the next day, the earth has moved between the sun and moon. The sun becomes very sad without the moon. Eventually the moon returns, and they are happy to work together to shine for all living things on Earth. The sun further realizes its goal is to bring smiles to people's faces.
The document summarizes information about the planets in our solar system from Mercury to Pluto. It discusses key facts about each planet such as their composition, moons, and exploration by space probes. It also covers background on the formation of the solar system through the Big Bang theory and how the space race between the US and USSR led to manned missions to the moon.
1. Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars are the planets nearest to the sun and are also called the inner or rocky planets.
2. These inner planets are small and composed primarily of rocks and iron.
3. The document instructs students to answer questions about the other planets in the solar system, describe each planet, and write their answers in their notebook.
The document provides information about various space-related topics including: the sun, moon, gravity, the solar system, UFOs, the space race, the moon landing, stars, galaxies, aliens, and orbits. Key points are that the sun is a ball of gas and fire, the moon orbits Earth and reflects sunlight, gravity pulls objects towards each other, our solar system contains planets orbiting the sun, the space race occurred between the US and USSR to reach space first, and Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon in 1969.
The document discusses stars, planets, and the solar system. It describes stars as bright bodies that appear in the sky in different sizes. The solar system includes the sun, 8 planets, moons, and other celestial bodies. The planets revolve around the sun and do not emit light, while the sun radiates heat and light as the largest body in the solar system. Details are provided about features of planets like Mars, Earth, Venus, Mercury, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter.

4. One summer day, Kelly and Mandy went on a
adventure in the Solar System Land. As they stroll
along Orbit Boulevard, Kelly saw Mercury and
Venus hiding behind Earth. Kelly said ¡°Look at
the two silly planets hiding behind the big, brave
Earth.¡± Mandy said ¡°no Kelly, they are not silly,
they are only shy because they do not know us.
Lets go and introduce ourselves to them.¡±
5. Kelly laughed quietly to herself as she remembers
Mercury and Venus hiding behind Earth. She said
to herself ¡°cowardly Mercury and Venus,
hiding behind the great, big Earth.¡±
6. Kelly ran quickly and stand in front of Earth and
said ¡°Hello, I am Kelly and this is my big sister
Mandy.¡± Kelly laughed and pointed to the two
planets hiding behind Earth and said ¡°Are you there
mother?¡± Earth smiled and said ¡°No, they are my
friends. Their names are Mercury and Venus. We
are all apart of the solar system along with five
other planets. I will introduce you to the other
planets later.¡±
7. Kelly was intrigued by all the information as she
whisper quietly ¡°can you tell us about the solar
system?¡±
Kelly turned to Earth and said ¡°Can you
tell us about the solar system. Earth said ¡°Sure,
lets have a seat in the Milky Way.¡± As they sit
down quickly, Earth said ¡°the solar system consist
of the sun which is at the centre of it and the eight
planets and their moons that revolve around it.
With the addition of the meteor, asteroids, and
comets.¡± Mercury is the smallest planet and
Venus is the hottest planet. Venus is also know
as the evening star.
8. As Kelly and Mandy sit and listen to Earth
they heard a rough, loud and mighty voice
calling ¡°Earth, Earth, where are you?¡±
Earth shouted ¡°I am in the Milky Way,
Mars.¡± Mars came rushing into the Milky
Way and said ¡°I have been looking
everywhere for you.¡± He paused as he
realized that Earth had company.
9. Mandy smiled to herself and said ¡°Oh, this
is Mars. Hmmm, so mighty and strong.¡±
10. Mars turned towards Kelly and Mandy and
gave a quick smile and said ¡°Hi, I am Mars.¡± I
am the fourth planet away from the sun and I
am also known as the red planet. Mandy smiled
and said ¡°I can see that your not shy and quiet
like Mercury and Venus.¡± Mars snicker as he
said ¡°those two are cowards, especially
Mercury, he is so tiny than the other planets.¡±
11. Earth laughed loudly as he said ¡°Oh please Mars,
remember the time when Jupiter and Saturn made you
cry?¡± Mars murmur quietly ¡°its because they are bigger
than me.¡± Earth laughed and said ¡°Mandy and Kelly,
remember I was telling you about the solar system?
Jupiter is the largest planet and Saturn is the second
largest planet. Mars is also apart of the solar system.
Mercury, Venus, Mars and I are known as the
inner planets or the terrestrial planets.
12. Kelly hold on to Mandy¡¯s hands tightly as she
thought ¡°Gosh, Jupiter and Saturn are bullies.¡±
13. But before I tell you about the inner planets. Let me
tell you about the universe. The universe is
incredibly huge! It include the planets, the stars, the
galaxies, living things, dust cloud, light, even time
and the contents of the intergalactic space. The
universe is everything we can touch, feel, sense,
measure or detect.
14. Kelly looked in amazement as she said ¡°Wow, the
universe is unbelievable. I always see meteors but I
called them shooting stars.¡± Earth chuckle and said
¡°that¡¯s a funny name, shooting star, haha.¡± As
evening draws near, Earth rotates slowly as he said
¡°you will soon get a chance to meet the outer
planets. However, the inner planets are playful,
caring and friendlier than the outer planets.¡±
15. Kelly was intrigued by all the information as she
whisper quietly ¡°can you tell us about the solar
system?¡±
Earth said ¡°the inner planets are smaller
than the outer planets. The inner planet as greater
density while the outer planets as a lower density.
The inner planets are rocky while the outer
planets are gaseous and the inner planets spin
slowly while the outer planets spin quickly.¡±
¡°Those are some of the differences between the
inner planets and outer planets¡± said Earth.
16. Kelly and Mandy listened quietly as
they try to retain all that information.
Earth waited for a few minutes and said
¡°the inner and outer planets also have
some similarities. All planets revolve
around the sun. All planets orbit on the
same plane and all planets are spherical
in shape.
17. Mandy stutter as she said ¡°Oh my, the outer
planets sound scary.¡± Earth grin and said
¡°do not worry about them, the sun is the
leader of the solar system and he will
protect you.¡± Kelly and Mandy breath a
sigh of relief as Earth said ¡°the sun is a big
ball of gas comprises mostly of hydrogen
and ileum. It provide gravitational pull
for the other planets.¡±
18. The sun is the main source of energy for all the
planets, it provide heat and it sustain life on earth.
The sun is at the centre of the solar system an it
also help in the process of photosynthesis.
19. Mandy said ¡°the sun sounds wonderful but what about you
Earth? I can bet that your pretty amazing too! Earth blush as
he said ¡°Of course, I am! Not to toot my own horn but I am
magnificent! I am the third planet from the sun and I am the
most dense planet. I am also known as the blue planet and I
am the largest of the four inner planets. Furthermore, I am
the only planets that human beings can live on and have
liquid water at the surface. I have two major forces
which are gravity and magnetism.¡±
20. Suddenly four large planets jump from
behind the sun and scared the inner planets.
Earth shakes his head as he said ¡°Kelly and
Mandy I will like you to meet Jupiter,
Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, the
troublemakers. They are also called the
outer planets.¡± The inner and outer planet
heard a squeaky sound and turn towards the
sound. It was Pluto flowing.
21. They all shouted ¡°Poor Pluto, not a planet
anymore¡± and they left giggling. Earth pointed to
Pluto and said ¡°that¡¯s Pluto, he is now a dwarf
planet because he does not have certain
characteristics to make it a planet.¡±
22. ¡°Wow, today was great¡± Mandy thought to
herself. It was great meeting the inner and
outer planets especially Uranus and Neptune.
Did you know that Neptune is the furthest
from the sun?
23. Anyway, it is getting late guys but it was lovely meeting
both of you said Earth. Kelly and Mandy smiled as they
walked away and left the Earth to orbit the sun.
