The document discusses a strategic change programme at Manchester Metropolitan University aimed at transforming the curriculum, student experience, and use of learning technologies. It outlines the university's goals of pursuing an ambitious institutional transformation through new buildings, curriculum, administrative processes, mobile technologies, and quality processes. A key part of the transformation involves taking a coordinated approach to improving the curriculum design, course administration, learning resources, and student experience through more integrated online and mobile services.
This document discusses Manchester Metropolitan University's efforts to improve the student experience through a coordinated initiative called EQAL. EQAL aims to transform the curriculum, administration processes, learning technologies, and quality assurance processes. As part of this initiative, MMU is developing a new integrated virtual learning environment called Talis Aspire that will provide students with a seamless, personalized online experience across devices including mobile access to resources like timetables, reading lists, and submitting assignments. The university sees mobile and responsive design as important to wrapping resources and services around the learner.

Blind Spots in AI and Formulation Science Knowledge Pyramid (Updated Perspect...Ajaz Hussain
油
This presentation delves into the systemic blind spots within pharmaceutical science and regulatory systems, emphasizing the significance of "inactive ingredients" and their influence on therapeutic equivalence. These blind spots, indicative of normalized systemic failures, go beyond mere chance occurrences and are ingrained deeply enough to compromise decision-making processes and erode trust.
Historical instances like the 1938 FD&C Act and the Generic Drug Scandals underscore how crisis-triggered reforms often fail to address the fundamental issues, perpetuating inefficiencies and hazards.
The narrative advocates a shift from reactive crisis management to proactive, adaptable systems prioritizing continuous enhancement. Key hurdles involve challenging outdated assumptions regarding bioavailability, inadequately funded research ventures, and the impact of vague language in regulatory frameworks.
The rise of large language models (LLMs) presents promising solutions, albeit with accompanying risks necessitating thorough validation and seamless integration.
Tackling these blind spots demands a holistic approach, embracing adaptive learning and a steadfast commitment to self-improvement. By nurturing curiosity, refining regulatory terminology, and judiciously harnessing new technologies, the pharmaceutical sector can progress towards better public health service delivery and ensure the safety, efficacy, and real-world impact of drug products.

"WOW! Quick, thorough, and honest answers to emails within minutesHaving dealt with
several brick and mortar colleges where students sometimes get treated like a nuisance, the
friendliness and attentive customer service at StraighterLine is a breath of fresh air.
Jessica was very nice to speak with and helped me at the end with my transcript questions.
I greatly appreciate you guys at StraighterLine.
I wanted to expand on my course advisor. Christine Saba is a gem. She made me feel VERY
comfortable asking ANY question I had. She always answered them clearly, and in a very timely
manner. If she didn't have the answer, she found out quickly. Her tone in her emails was
nothing but friendly, and NEVER condescending!! I felt she did a FANTASTIC job!!
Andrew Hoon was great to work with. He responded quickly to my questions and was very
helpful.

#15: Depending on the course, students either submit directly into Blackboard via a file attachment or to SMARTHINKING for direct grading. Shown is the SMARTHINING process, in Blackboard students simply attach their finished document to the upload area to submit (graders automatically provide feedback and grades thereafter). Feedback is based on rubrics. Note that most of our courses are assessment based only. Only certain courses have additional assignments like Labs or Written assignments. Many do have no-risk, ungraded practice problems however that students can take to master concepts similar to what they will find on graded examinations.

#17: Exams are TimedCompletion is forced (students must complete in one sitting)Finals/Midterms are cumulative
#18: Grading is available once students are logged in. They can see their progress out of the total possible points and their scores as well.
#19: Once a student has successfully completed their course they can login to their account and request for a transcript to be sent to the specific institution that they wish to complete their degree or need their credits sent to. After they submit the request form a course advisor will process the request within 48 hours. Once we send the transcript by delivery that was requested by the student we send the student an email letting them know the date we processed the transcript, the credits that were sent to the school and the institution we sent the students credits to. This is a confirmation email so students understand that we have a. processed their request and b. have sent it to the correct place with the correct credits. We also provide a friendly reminder in here of when the students next billing date is for their monthly subscription (if they are on one) and instructions on how to cancel. We really dont want students to keep paying if they have completed the course already.
