Hanif Khan is a Pakistani hockey player who was born in Karachi in 1959. He fell in love with hockey at age 12 and practiced with his father, who was a hockey coach. Khan joined the Pakistani national hockey team in 1976 after moving to Islamabad for training. He had a successful international career, winning gold at the 1984 Summer Olympics, and retired in 2014 due to his advancing age. After retiring, he returned to Karachi and became a hockey coach.

He practiced hockey with his father because her father was a hockey coach.He went to Islamabad to play in the national hockey team.He practiced there for five months and then got a chance to play in the national team. Hanif Khan started playing in the national team on 1976.
- 3. How and when he retired? He retired on March 23, 2014. Because he was so old and now he couldn't play. But he won a lot of hockey matches. He won a gold medal at the 1984 summer olympics. After his retirement, he returned home in Karachi. And he became a hockey coach.
