Selected Academic and Research Projects:
University of Texas at Arlington July14 Present
Project: Multiple Linear Regression
Brief Description: To determine inter-relationship between the different variables for various cricketers over the past
15 years.
Responsibilities:
Gathered and assigned data into number of Runs (Y) scored by each player as our response variable and our
predictor variables are the number of Matches (X1), Number of 100s (X2), Number of 50s (X3) and
number of 4s (X4) of the respective player.
Ran regression analysis and presented various interference and performance statistics.
Environment: SAS, Minitab, Matlab, R-Programming.
Project: Modeling and Analysis on deformation behavior of AA6061, T6 Aluminum alloy through equal channel
angle extrusion die design.
Brief Description: This project dealt with the influence of channel angle on deformation behavior for AA6061-T6
through analysis in DEFORM for different channel angles of 90属, 110属 and 120属 using a Mechanical Hammer for
imparting load.
Responsibilities:
Analyzed properties of different material and chose the best amongst them.
Designed an equal channel angle die in AutoCAD for carrying out the analysis using ANSYS.
Used DEFORM to analyze the material characteristics and to identify the degree of failure.
Environment: AutoCAD, PRO-E, ANSYS, DEForm.

Project: Rectifying battery heating issues using Six Sigma and its continuous improvement using PDCA.
Brief Description: To make sure the issue of frequent calls received from end customers stating battery heating issues
with their mobile devices was corrected using Six Sigma methodology.
Responsibilities:
Analyzed data gathered using surveys and identified the problem using Statistical Process control (SPC),
Weight score method and Regression Analysis.
Suggested various best practices which resulted in the following
o Attained a minimum Process capability of 1 and made sure the battery heating issue was rectified
completely.
o Attained and maintained Process Sigma level of 6.
Environment: Minitab, QI macros, Excel, Regression using SAS and Matlab, Control Charts, Lean Six sigma, Long
range forecasting.
Project: Facilities planning and Design for ACME Footwear operations warehouse.
Brief Description: ACME requires a new, cost-justified DC to support business projections through 2021.
The need for the above transformation was
The existing Distribution Center (DC) was at capacity with no room to expand and an expiring lease.
ACME had been experiencing high annual unit growth and expects ~7% until at least the design year 2021.
ACME was seeking new, justified alternative operational processes as they sought a right-sized facility to
support their future expansion and developments.
Responsibilities:
Led a cross-functional team, to look into business process re-engineering (BPR).

Provided various space requirements for utilities in the facility such as parking, restroom and office spaces for
various employees.
Designed the layout using AutoCAD and presented the economically justified model to the management.
Environment: AutoCAD.
SASTRA University, Thanjavur, India May13-May14
Project: POKAYOKE in Brush Press Machine by implementation of automation.
Brief Description: Developed and sequenced a relay based automation system that would sense a block once it enters
the machine and engages the stopper thus eliminating rework.
Responsibilities:
Identified the bottleneck in the manufacturing process line.
The bottleneck was eliminated by employing low-cost, highly efficient automation.
Brought down rework costs by 33% and improved overall production efficiency by 26%.
Environment: TQM, Kiel, PLC relay logic and programming, Codesys, Simulink.
Activities and Certifications:
