When I saw the notification popped on my right screen about my first badge in
attending a webinar, I realized that, Whew! Nakagawa ako ng isang bagay na hindi ko pa nararanasan
sa buhay ko, ever. It was an accomplishment and it was an eye-opener! When I attended the live
webinar, the speaker greeted me. She said Oooohhh, we have an audience from the Philippines!
Welcome, Apple! My brother was still awake during that time and he heard it. He asked me if thats
live. He was amazed, I told him, Oo, live. Ganito kami nagkaklase sa school ko eh, online. Hehehe.
When you attend live, theres a chatbox where you can type questions and communicate with the
other attendees and speaker. I saw Cess, one of my Educ 190 classmates there, too.
The topic about bullying especially, cyber-bullying interests me lately when I saw an
article about a girl who committed suicide because her scandalous images were spread online. And
also, lately, my daughter didnt want to attend her school. I am bothered, I asked her what happened
in school. She told me that one of her classmate is quarrelling her but I am aware that her classmate
has a special condition. I thought that attending that webinar will help me understand more about
bullying. Leigh Anne Kraemer-Naser presented the topic perhaps, with a powerpoint presentation.
Listening to a 3:00 AM lecture could be challenging but what I learned from her is that Aggression is a
behavior intended to hurt or harm and can be physical, verbal, relational, or cyber. And in a bullying
scene, there is an aggressor, target and a bystander. (aggressor  bully; target  victim) and the
bystander (or someone who is present in the scene and observe) There are lots of bystander and I am
guilty of being one of it when I was young. Overall, I learned that as a teacher, it is important that we
know and keenly observe our students movement to prevent bullying. Also, each teacher should have
the intervention matrix  this is the standard that helps teacher in approaching aggression and
bullying.
