Week One
- 1. Our First Week My thanks to Ken for the amazing digital, idiot-proof camera. It¡¯s TOTALLY made me a decent picture taker.

- 3. Sunset (duh) Wow, huh? Too bad it¡¯s just us girls at sea.

- 5. A little waterfall, inland, off Hispaniola. The closest thing to running water that we will get this week. And youbetcha, we shampoo¡¯d here !! These are my peeps behind the waterfall.
- 6. A good view of the tradewindsfor which the Caribbean is known. Immediately after this pic, I went down to put on a (unpacked, non-existent) long sleeve shirt.
- 7. Our view as we pull into the back side of Jost Van Dyke. Most of the islands in the Lesser Antilles are ¡®mountainous.¡¯ It¡¯s only after you¡¯ve been to the Grand Tetons that ¡®mountainous¡¯ becomes a relative term. Yea, ¡®mountainous.¡¯ Ooookkk..
- 8. As we pull in to Jost. Jost has a reputation for New Year¡¯s Eve¡ people from all over the US and Britain come down to celebrate. I, myself, have been to a few reggae concerts, drank a few painkillers (local drink) and dove off the Soggy Dollar, a ship that¡¯s permanently moored for us tourist-types. If you dive off wearing a white tee shirt (wink wink) you get a free drink.
- 9. Trunk Bay, St. John. A great beach! (My son¡¯s favorite.) Interesting fact: St. John has the only underwater National Park in the US ¨C yep. Another interesting fact: while we were resting here, some local rodents ate through our paper back lunches¡ and then munched on our sandwiches. I should have brought Mike ashore, he would have kicked their furry little butts.
