About
I'm a professor of rhetoric and writing at The University of Texas at Austin. I received my PhD in rhetoric and professional communication at Iowa State in 1999, then taught in the technical communication and rhetoric program at Texas Tech University for two years before joining UT in the fall of 2001.
I've written four books: Tracing Genres Through Organizations (2003), Network (2008), Topsight (2013; 2ed 2018), and All Edge (2015).
