During my undergraduate years, I was active in student politics at a local, national and European levels, specialising in higher education policy and internationalisation of universities.
I got my master's in Jyväskylä in 2002 and moved to Cambridge to study for a PhD at the Centre for Music and Science at the Faculty of Music. My thesis title is "Interaction in Musical Time". I mainly focus on cognitive aspects on timing and rhythm, and interpersonal interaction in musical contexts.
I moved back to Finland in 2007, and currently am doing research and teaching at my old department.
