My journey in the entertainment industry began as an actor in theater and television at age of 17. I got my start in the role of 60s singer Sam Cooke (1988). A year later I appeared as a gangster in the film Bix Beiderbecke (1989). I was also cast as an extra in the horror film "Candyman," (1990) and the Wayans brothers comedy "Mo' Money." (1991)
