AKIHIKO SHIRAI is a reasercher in VR entertainment.
He is working in GREE VR Studio Lab for vTuber and future development in VR entertainment technologies.
He worked for Canon, Criterion, NHK-ES, ENSAM Presence & Innovation Laboratory in France, Miraikan (National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Tokyo), and Kanagawa Institute of Technology. Currently he is working in GREE, Inc. as a laboratory director of VR live entertainment team.
Received his Ph.D. from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan in 2004 with research concerning the ^Tangible Playroom ̄, an entertainment system for young children using haptics, a floor screen and a physics engine.
