Transhumanism is the belief or theory that the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations by means of science and technology. The more we explored this subject, the more we got fascinated to see how people are riding on the current era technologies to surpass the capabilities of human body. If the current explorations in transhumanism are anything to go by, then, we believe the future will be very exciting!
In this report we explore the various technologies, people involved and the advancements made in the field of Transhumanism. We would love to hear your feedback, comments and suggestions. Please mail us at ice@humanfactors.com
The document discusses the decline of humans with the rise of artificial intelligence. It argues that while AI can perform tasks more quickly and efficiently, it will never be able to replace full human intelligence and abilities. In particular, AI has limitations in that it cannot think creatively outside of its programming or learn from its own mistakes like humans can. The document also suggests that excessive reliance on technology has led to a decline in human development, with people becoming dependent on machines and unable to perform basic mental and physical tasks.
The document discusses the history and impacts of automation. It notes that from early civilization, humans invented tools to perform tasks more effectively. Automation in the 19th-20th centuries freed humans and animals from physically demanding labor. Automation changed lifestyles by permitting more leisure time, improved lifestyles by enhancing tasks like farming, and sped up operations through technologies like the typewriter and computer. Overall, the document argues that engineering innovation and automation have enabled humans to live more comfortably over centuries.
Richard Attenborough's fascination with nature took him around the world in his travels. He graduated from Cambridge University and joined the BBC in 1952, working his way up to senior management by 1965. Over his long career he was honored with a CBE and knighthood for his contributions to television and commitment to preserving the natural world.
The document discusses the history and development of the internet over the past 50 years, from its origins as a US military program called ARPANET to the commercialization of the world wide web in the 1990s. It grew exponentially from the 1980s onward and became a major force in communications, business, and society through new technologies and greater public access to computers and online content. The internet has profoundly shaped modern life and continues to rapidly evolve and impact nearly all aspects of the global community.
This document features beautiful landscape and wildlife photographs from around the world, including Whitehaven Beach in Australia, Anhumas Abyss in Brazil, Emigrant Peak in Montana, forests in Spain, Iceland, the Himalayas in India, Wedge Pond in Alberta Canada, Tassili National Park in the Sahara desert in Algeria, sea turtles in the Caribbean, lion cubs, European bison, grizzly bear cubs, and is copyrighted by Satinwood Productions in 2012.
The Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, also known as the Central African Federation (CAF), was a semi-independent state in southern Africa that existed from 1953 to 1963, comprising the territories of Southern Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia, and Nyasaland. It was intended to eventually become a dominion in the Commonwealth but was dissolved in 1963 due to opposition from the populations in Northern Rhodesia and Nyasaland who opposed white minority rule.
The strongest earthquake ever recorded in Japan triggered a massive tsunami that caused widespread destruction and thousands of deaths. Towns along the northern coast of Japan were swallowed by waters as high as 10 meters from the tsunami. Fires broke out at several locations, including at an oil refinery. The earthquake and tsunami also put additional stress on the Fukushima nuclear power plant, causing cooling system failures at some reactors and raising concerns over potential radiation leaks. People were left trying to cope with the devastation and uncertainty in the aftermath.
The document contrasts traditional Victorian values with modern values, noting how people of tradition are often marginalized. Victorian values included a strict moral code, Christian beliefs, hard work, and loyalty, while modern values emphasize appearance, wealth, borrowing, and distrust. This decay of values has led to a society where families, children, and the elderly are disrespected, and virtue is not respected. However, the document argues that being virtuous through respect, understanding and diversity actually improves society's health, trust, and productivity.

APM event hosted by the South Wales and West of England Network (SWWE Network)
Speaker: Aalok Sonawala
The SWWE Regional Network were very pleased to welcome Aalok Sonawala, Head of PMO, National Programmes, Rider Levett Bucknall on 26 February, to BAWA for our first face to face event of 2025. Aalok is a member of APMs Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APMs PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMOs within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

Reeva Steenkamp Law graduate and Model shot on Valentine's Day!
1. The life of Reeva
Rebecca
Steenkamp
was cut short at
29, on Valentines
day in 2013.
She was born on
19 August 1983 in
Cape town, South
Africa. She
graduated in Law
in 2oo5.
24. From Brunette to
Blonde, she was
adored by all who
knew her!
Her beauty and
charm placed her
in the hands of
her murderer.
25. Her fate was sealed when she encountered Oscar Pistorius, the Olympian in 2012.
27. Considered a 'rising star' in the modelling world,
South African law graduate Reeva Steenkamp had
been dating Paralympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius
for a couple of months when she was killed in a
shooting at his house in the early hours of 14
February 2013.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/reeva%20steenkamp
28. A MOTHERs GRIEF!
June Steenkamp, Reeva Steenkamp's mother, told The
Times in a front page interview published on 18 March
2013: "Why? Why my little girl? Why did this happen?
Why did he do this?"
"Just like that she is gone," the newspaper quoted her as
saying in what it described as an emotional telephone
interview. "In the blink of an eye and a single breath, the
most beautiful person who ever lived is no longer here."
29. Mrs Steenkamp also revealed that in Reevas younger years, her
daughter had painted a picture of a man with a gun threatening a
"terrified" woman with angel wings and a ladder beside her
"going up to heaven".
"Reeva painted these pictures when she was 14... but we never
really realised what they were about," she said. "If you look at it
now it's clear as anything that this is a premonition."
31. FEBRUARY 19, 2013 3:50PM
REEVA Steenkamp's messages to a high-profile sports
star could hold the key to investigations into her death
amid reports that banned steroids were found in Oscar
Pistorius's home.
The model will be cremated later today as Pistorius
appears in court for a bail hearing expected to reveal
more about what happened the night she was shot dead.
South African police are believed to be checking SMS
and text messages from the slain model's iPad and
mobile phone to try to establish a motive for her death.
Steenkamp was believed to be in a close friendship
with South African rugby star Francois Hougaard when
she was killed. The pair had reportedly dated in the past.
34. Denial: Pistorius denies that he murdered his girlfriend, and
his defence is expected to be that he thought she was an
intruder.
Oscar Pistorius, the South African Paralympic sprinter who
has been charged with the premeditated murder of his
girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, attended a bail hearing on
Tuesday 19 February 2013 where he denied intentionally
killing the 29-year-old model in his home on Valentines Day.
In a prepared statement, Pistorius told prosecutors that he
mistook Steenkamp for a burglar, shooting her through the
door of his bathroom while she was locked inside.
