Op donderdag 11 april 2013 mocht ik de hoofdlezing verzorgen voor de circa 450 deelnemers aan het SIMEA congres in congrescentrum de Werelt in Lunteren. Onder het motto Trending topics liepen drie onderdelen als rode draden door de workshops van het congres: executieve functies, ICT en empowerment. Het was mijn taak om die onderwerpen in te leiden en het verband daartussen aan te geven. Mijn presentatie had ik de titel gegeven Het ABC van talentontwikkeling in een door internet gedomineerde samenleving. Voor een effectieve Participatie Samenleving moeten we gebruik maken van moderne middelen. Welke rol hebben gemeenten in de Participatie Samenleving? Welke tools kunnen gemeenten helpen? Welke rol neemt de gemeente/provincies in? Al deze zaken worden tijdens de workshop besproken.
Ook worden tijdens deze workshop tools en voorbeelden gepresenteerd om:
- Online marktplaats om burgerinitiatieven te faciliteren
- Crowdsourcing tools om met burgers beleid en ruimte te ontwikkelen
- Velen voorbeelden en cases om te leren wat wel en niet werkt

Verantwoordelijken voor interne communicatie staan voor een flinke uitdaging. Enerzijds gaan steeds meer stemmen op om interne communicatie en het intranet op te heffen ten faveure van sociale media; anderzijds zijn organisaties de afgelopen jaren door de economische crisis flink gesaneerd waardoor de eigen identiteit, de verbondenheid tussen medewerkers en de innovatiekracht onder druk zijn komen staan. Het is nu weer tijd om vooruit te kijken, te groeien, te innoveren. In deze masterclass gaan we in op de rol van interne communicatie om door middel van sociale innovatie te werken aan de lenigheid en innovatiekracht van organisaties.
