- 3. เทคโนโลยี หมายถึง สิ่งที่มนุษย์พัฒนาขึ้น เพื่อช่วยในการทางานหรือแก้ปัญหาต่าง ๆ เข่น อุปกรณ์, เครื่องมือ, เครื่องจักร, ว ัสดุ หรือ แม้กระทั่งที่ไม่ได้เป็ นสิ่งของที่จับต้องได้ เช่น กระบวนการต่าง ๆ เทคโนโลยี เป็ นการประยุกต์ นาเอาความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์มาใช้ และก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ ในทางปฏิบัติ แก่มวลมนุษย์กล่าวคือเทคโนโลยีเป็ นการนาเอาค วามรู้ ทางวิทยาศาสตร์มาใช้ในการประดิษฐ์สิ่งของต่าง ๆให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด ส่วนที่เป็ นข้อแตกต่างอย่างหนึ่งของเทคโนโลยี กับวิทยาศาสตร์ คือเทคโนโลยีจะขึ้นอยู่กับปัจจัย ทางเศรษฐกิจเป็ นสินค้ามีการซื้อขาย ส่วนความรู้ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ เป็ นสมบัติส่วนรวมของ ชาวโลกมีการเผยแพร่โดยไม่มีการซื้อขายแต่อย่ างใดกล่าวโดยสรุปคือ เทคโนโลยีสมัยใหม่เกิดขึ้นโดยมีความรู้ทางวิทย าศาสตร์เป็ นฐานรองรับ ลักษณะของเทคโนโลยี
