- 1. {English version below} Audities Jakop Ahlbom Company: voor de nieuwe voorstelling Le Bal zoekt Jakop Ahlbom Company 6 à 7 spelers/dansers max. leeftijd 35 jaar / waarvan 3 à 4 stagiaires We zoeken nadrukkelijk ook naar spelers/dansers met een cultureel diverse achtergrond. De professionele achtergrond kan mimer, danser, zanger of acteur zijn. Belangrijk is dat er ervaring en talent is in zowel beweging/dans als spelen. Ook een grote mate van muzikaliteit is belangrijk, we zoeken spelers die ook kunnen zingen. Andere belangrijke kwaliteiten zijn flexibiliteit, zowel lichamelijk als geestelijk, openheid en collegialiteit. Er wordt gezamenlijk gewerkt met respect voor elkaar. Le Bal is een muziektheatervoorstelling waarin het danslokaal de hoofdpersoon is. In het danslokaal van Le Bal komen mensen samen die op zoek zijn naar liefde, gezelschap en vertier. Ze dansen, flirten, maken ruzie en vervelen zich. Ze komen en gaan. De jaren verstrijken, maar het danslokaal blijft bestaan en transformeert zich steeds naar de nieuwe tijd. Le Bal omspant een periode van 100 jaar: de voorstelling begint rond 1918, aan de vooravond van the roaring twenties, het vrouwenkiesrecht is nog niet ingevoerd en het is onrustig in Europa. Le Bal wervelt zich vanaf dat moment door de tijd, door de jaren en decennia, tot aan het hier en nu. Le Bal is geïnspireerd op de film van Ettore Scola met dezelfde naam uit 1983. De muziek wordt live gespeeld door de band Alamo Race Track. Er wordt gerepeteerd in Amsterdam vanaf december 2018. De première vindt plaats op 22 maart 2019 in theater De Meervaart. Tournee tot begin juni. Jakop Ahlbom Company is het mimegezelschap van regisseur Jakop Ahlbom. Het gezelschap maakt fysiek beeldend theater en is uniek in zijn soort. De vaak woordeloze voorstellingen zijn toegankelijk voor een groot, divers en internationaal publiek. Het gezelschap toert in binnen- en buitenland en over de hele wereld. De voorstellingen hebben een unieke en uitgesproken eigen stijl. Jakop Ahlbom gebruikt elementen uit de mime, de dans, het illusionisme, de slapstick. Hij gebruikt filmische effecten en vaak live muziek om zo poëtische en betoverende werelden te scheppen. De auditie is op zondag 13 mei t/m dinsdag 15 mei 2018 van 10:00 – 16:00. Voor de auditie moeten iedereen een lied voorbereiden om te zingen (a capella of met muzikale begeleiding op band). Waarschijnlijk besluiten we per dag met wie we de volgende dag door willen gaan. Auditions Jakop Ahlbom Company: for our new show Le Bal Jakop Ahlbom Company is looking for 6 - 7 actors/dancers max. age 35 years / whereof 3 - 4 interns We explicitly are looking as well for actors/dancers with a culturally diverse background. Your professional background can be mime artist, dancer, singer or actor. It is important you are experienced and talented in movement/dance as well as in acting. Also, a high level of musicality is important, we are looking for cast-members who can also sing. Other important qualities are flexibility (physically as well as emotionally), openness and team spirit. We work together in mutual respect. Le Bal is a music theater show where the ballroom is the main character. In this ballroom people come together looking for love, companionship and fun. They dance, flirt, fight and get bored. They come and they go. The years go by, but the ballroom remains to exist and transforms to the new time. Le Bal covers a period of 100 years: the performance starts around 1918, at the eve of the roaring twenties, when the women’s suffrage has not been introduced yet, and Europe is restless. Le Bal swirls from that moment through time, through the years and decades, until the here and now. Le Bal is inspired on the movie by Ettore Scola from 1983. The music will be performed live on stage by the band Alamo Race Track. Rehearsals will be in Amsterdam from december 2018. Opening night will be on 22 March 2019 in theater De Meervaart. Ahlboms pieces have already achieved international success touring extensively across Europe, New Zealand, China and the USA. Auditions take place on Sunday 13 May till Tuesday 15 May 2018, 10am – 4pm. For the audition everyone will prepare a song to sing (a capella or with recorded music). After the first day we will decide who will be called back for the next day.
