Magnidus, in partnership with Baruah Developers and Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. (BDIPL), organised a day-long public workshop in Jorhat on the 25th of January, 2014. It was conducted with the intention of spreading general technical awareness about building construction and related subjects. The workshop was attended by several conscious citizens of Jorhat, including senior engineers, officials of the Jorhat Municipal Corporation, students and general public.
The focus of the workshop was in throwing some light on the importance of following building byelaws, hiring the right consultants, using good quality materials etc. The significance of designing climate responsive buildings was stressed upon. The concept of Green Buildings was also introduced briefly.
This presentation was a part of the workshop.
(https://www.indiamart.com/tinnycraft) Established in the year 2006, Tinny Crafts is one of the leading manufacturers, exporters and suppliers of portable cabins, security guard cabins and other associated structures. In addition to these, we also offer portable toilets, portable kitchen and dog house. We use qualitative raw material such as galvanized iron sheet sandwich panels, cement fibre board, polyvinyl chloride and wood. These are also widely demanded for their innovative designs, dimension accuracy, easy dismantling and good insulation property.
The document discusses planning for an upcoming conference called Multito. It lists objectives for the conference including understanding why it is being held, what delegates will get out of it, how to improve the conference delivery format, what content and spaces should be included, potential special events, desired post-conference behaviors in delegates, and how to make Multito legendary. A timeline of the planning process from agenda dreaming to the conference launch is also provided, along with questions to consider to help guide the agenda dreaming session.
Nuclear energy (fission and fusion of elements)Priyam Jain
油
Nuclear energy can be generated by two types: nuclear fission and nuclear fusion. Nuclear fission involves splitting heavy atoms like uranium-235, releasing energy. It is used in nuclear power plants to generate electricity. Nuclear fusion combines light atoms like hydrogen and is more energy dense, but is not yet controlled for energy production. Nuclear bombs and hydrogen bombs use uncontrolled nuclear fission and fusion reactions to cause destruction.
The second edition of the Construction Awareness Workshops organized jointly by Magnidus and BDIPL was successfully held at Jorhat on 9 March, 2014. It was attended by several key personalities from Jorhat as well as the general public. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session where architects and engineers responded to construction related queries put forward by the attendees.
The theme of this edition of the workshop was 'Earthquake Resistant buildings and the Importance of Soil Testing'.

Task-based induction involves assigning new recruits specific tasks to complete in order to rapidly develop skills through practice. Over 14 days, recruits progress from imitation, where they watch tasks, to naturalization, where tasks become second nature. Recruits are trained by learning and operations coordinators and operational coordinators, who provide supervision and feedback as recruits iterate on tasks. The goal is for recruits to independently fulfill exchanges to organizational standards without oversight by the end of the induction period.
Sulfur has many industrial uses in India, with 65% used in fertilizers, 15% for sulfuric acid production, and 10% each in the textile and other sectors. India imports 5% of its sulfur, with the majority coming from China, the US, Brazil, and other countries. Sulfur production in India has increased from 1 million tons in 2010 to over 2 million tons currently. Future sulfur imports are predicted to rise to over 4 million tons by 2016 to meet demand. The Claus process is commonly used to extract sulfur from hydrogen sulfide gas, with modern plants achieving over 99% recovery rates. Design improvements to sulfur condensers aim to further increase efficiency and reduce manufacturing and operating costs.
This document discusses e-marketing research. It covers the importance of research, the research process, using the internet for marketing research, data collection methods, sampling methods, and problems that can occur with research data. The research process involves setting objectives and a plan, choosing appropriate data collection and sampling methods, pursuing the problem by obtaining relevant data, analyzing the data, and examining the results. Common data collection methods include questionnaires, interviews, observation, and focus groups. Sampling can be random, stratified, or non-probability based. Problems may include lack of objectivity, justifying prior decisions, over-researching, and unexpected results.
Malaysia is offering to help Indonesia deal with the recurring haze problem from forest fires in Sumatra, including assisting with cloud seeding activities. The Malaysian Natural Resources and Environment Minister will discuss this offer during a meeting with his Indonesian counterpart next week, with the goal of jointly curbing the forest fire issues. The haze has caused unhealthy air pollution levels in parts of Malaysia in the past, leading to short-term effects like eye and respiratory irritation as well as potential long-term health issues like cancer and heart disease.
This document summarizes the talent management processes and initiatives for AIESEC Poland. It discusses getting, developing, and keeping talent through recruitment, learning and development, and retention efforts. Key aspects include:
- Revising recruitment and selection processes like using a new recruitment tool and value-based criteria.
- Developing members through refreshed leadership competency models, induction programs, and leadership development workshops.
- Retaining talent by implementing systems like probation periods, team standards, and leadership development assessments.
- Analyzing talent data through tools for member experience surveys, exit surveys, and metrics on retention rates and leadership scores.

2) It models the pyramid with the base at the origin and height along the x-axis, and considers the volume as the sum of cross-sectional areas from the base to the vertex.
3) Through similar triangles and integrating the changing cross-sectional areas, it arrives at the formula Volume = (1/3) x Area of Base x Height.

Australia's energy policy for heavy industries such as steel production are based on storing renewable energy as green hydrogen. However, steel production is energy intensive and green hydrogen is proving to be difficult to commercialise, let alone produce, store, and transport. The renewable energy link to Indonesia and Singapore, based on the plan for the Australian Renewable Energy Hub in the Pilbara, has been replaced by the idea that green hydrogen can be converted to green ammonia for transportation, and converted back to hydrogen on the other side. Again, the process is energy intensive. Add to the energy demands that will be created by data centres and artificial intelligence, the scaling up of energy production is unlikely to be met without nuclear. The green energy dream is unlikely to materialise and is proving unworkable.

Importance of Structural Engineer
Structural engineers design structures to withstand stresses and pressures, such as weather
and human use. They ensure buildings and other structures do not bend, twist, collapse or
vibrate and remain strong and secure throughout their use.
Structural engineers help to design most structures including houses, theatres, sports venues,
hospitals, office blocks, bridges, oil rigs, space satellites, ships and aircraft. They work in close
partnership with architects.
Structural engineers have to choose appropriate materials, such as bricks, concrete, wood and
metal, to meet design specifications. When construction has begun, they are often involved in
inspecting the work and advising contractors.
They also examine existing buildings and other structures to test if they are structurally sound
and still fit for purpose. Structural engineers have to make efficient use of funds and materials in
order to achieve structural goals.

What are the responsibility of a Site engineer
A site engineer is part of the site management team, and takes some of the responsibility for
security, health and safety, and organising and supervising materials and people. Site engineers
mark out the site, make sure designs are applied correctly and liaise with main and sub-contractors
and the site manager. Regular liaison with the client, its representatives, and any consultants is
another key part of the job.
What are the responsibility of a labour contractor and
Mason
1) The labour contractor can not take responsibility of safety measures of your construction nor he can give
you the structural design.
2) His first and foremost duty is to understand the detail drawing prepared by a structural engineer.
Neither he can reduce nor he can add anything without permission from the Engineer.
3) He will ensure that his Mason and labour will perform their duty as per schedule and norms given by the
Engineer,
