How do you explain the basic terms of
geometry?
 A location.
 Without size.
 Represented by a dot.
 Named by a capital letter.
Point A
 The set of all points.
A series of points that extends in two
opposite directions without end.
You can name a line by any two points on the
line with a little line symbol above them.

B
Planes are usually represented by
a shape that looks like a tabletop or
a parallelogram.
A plane is named by a single letter
(plane m) or by three points (plane
ABC).
Has no thickness and extends
forever.
 Part of a line.
Has one endpoint and extends forever in one
direction.
Part of a line or ray that extends from one
endpoint to another.
 Three points
 Two lines
 A plane
 Three rays
 Two line segments
