Chipy, a small rock, falls into a stream during a rockslide and begins a journey downstream. He passes through a fast mountain stream, a smooth mature river, a slower old river with many turns, and finally reaches a delta where he is washed out to sea and becomes a grain of sand on the beach. Though worried and missing his family throughout his adventure, Chipy remains determined and manages to survive each new challenge until arriving safely at the ocean.

Pebbles was sleeping under a tree on a mountain when the tree's roots popped out of the ground, weathering Pebbles. He tumbled into a mountain stream and was washed down the mountain very fast, unable to see. When he reached flat land, Pebbles was exhausted. He was carried further by an old river where he felt like he was on a meandering roller coaster. Pebbles eventually reached a delta where more sediments joined and some were carried off by waves, making Pebbles feel like he was in bumper cars. Pebbles was finally washed onto a beach as parts of him broke off in the crashing waves. Looking at how much he had eroded, Pebbles realized he had become a grainLittle Chip's Journey

Little chip was a pebble who felt lost sitting on his cliff his whole life until he decided to walk away and find a new path. As he made his way down the mountain, he got washed away by tides and currents, losing chunks of himself along the way as he tumbled down rivers and into the ocean. A grain of granite describes its long journey from a mountain to the ocean. It began when a rainstorm caused a flood that sent the granite rolling down the mountain into a river. It was tossed and turned in the river's rapids and meanders for days, fearing it would crack apart. Eventually, the granite reached the river's delta and entered the ocean, relieved to be out of the river. International Poetry Day was celebrated by an English class who engaged in creative writing exercises focused on haikus and flash fiction inspired by nature. Students were tasked with writing 3 sentence stories or poems based on provided prompts and photos. Their works explored themes of ducks in nature, helping injured animals, and appreciating the beauty in small things. He finds Old Dan crying and realizes something has happened to Little Ann. Billy sees Little Ann struggling in the icy water, unable to pull herself out. He prays for a miracle, then strips and goes into the freezing water to rescue Little Ann with his ax and a lantern tied to a pole. Angus is a 12-year-old bandit who lives in a cave with his dog Bonnie. After being shot by a cowboy, Angus wakes up in a prison cell where he is sentenced to hang. Angus and Bonnie dig their way to freedom. Angus's friend Timburnato, who was shot, joins them. They flee to Eagle Gorge but encounters with cowboys and native people lead to near-death experiences. Chipys adventure
- 2. Weathering Chipy was on a big rock, but then he heard a crumbling noise, when he heard the noise he knew that plant roots were crumbling the big rock. When the rock fell in pieces he fell on a stream. His size grew smaller, when he landed in the water he panicked, he thought What am I going to do?
- 3. Mountain Stream When Chipy calmed down he heard a loud noise, he saw a mountain stream, the mountain stream was fast a steep, Chipy said NOOOO!!!!!! know one could hear Chipy. Chipy felt lonely and sad that he not home. When the mountain stream ended he was glad he didn't have to panic anymore. The only thing Chipy was worried about is getting home.
- 4. Mature River Chipy landed on a mature river, he was on a smooth ride. When he relaxed he was worried he was going to drown, but then he said I can breath under water. Know one knew Chipy. Chipy was not happy, he couldn't get on land. He thought about his family the whole ride.
- 5. Old river When the mature river ended he woke up, and noticed he was on a slower river. Chipy landed in the old river, but the old river had a whole bunch of meanders. He got dizzy, but enjoyed the ride. When Chipy closed his eyes he never wanted to go home.
- 6. Delta When the old river stopped, he knew he was a small, but he never cared. The river got faster and he was on a delta. He was happy that the ride was all over. Know he can stop panicking. He was still thinking of his family, but he knew his family was gone.
- 7. Arriving on the Beach When Chipy landed on the beach he was an actual grain of sand. When Chipy landed Chipy thought he thought he saw a beach wave. Chipy thought to himself and said Are we on the beach? When Chipy sank to the bottom of the ocean he saw creatures and knew exactly where he was.
