This document provides an agenda for a workshop on managing content in Madcap Flare. The workshop will cover Global Project Linking, Run-time Merge in HTML5, Condition Tags, and Reports. Global Project Linking allows content to be imported and reused from one Flare project to another. Run-time Merge automatically merges output files from multiple Flare targets. Condition Tags are markers that show or hide content in different outputs. Reports can track content using Condition Tags. The workshop presenter is an experienced Information Architect and Flare developer.

• When you create a global link in a child project, you can:
- Automatically re-import before generating output
- Remove “stale” files (deleted, renamed, moved)
- Specify what type of files you want to include
- Specify what type of files you want to exclude
- Select specific files to include
- Add additional filters based on condition tags

- You place the output files in the correct location on the server
- Flare then automatically merges the output from all of the targets when users access
the Help
- From the end user's perspective, the results are seamless, appearing as one large Help
system
- All of the TOCs, browse sequences, indexes, glossaries, and search capabilities for the
projects are merged

sections show up in some of your outputs but not in others
• Commonly used for single-sourcing work flows
• We’ll take a look at some other ways to use these in conjunction with the

Blackbaud implemented an agile development process about 15 months ago across its multiple product lines and development teams. This created challenges for documentation writers who now had to work with several sprint teams on competing deadlines. While the increased workload and stress was difficult for writers, the documentation is now fully integrated into development and the overall product quality improved.
