Report Attribute Explanations
Date Range - period of the data included in the report, Scope - the system has been set up to capture data according to our company
financials and scope identifies the organization by name and by CCC Generated - date the reports was produced.
Time Zone - all of our operations are in Eastern Daylight Time Zone, Daylight Savings - has been enabled so reports will capture data
correctly throughout the entire year.
Group - the system has been set up to capture data according to our company financials and Group identifies the organization by name.
Driver First Name Currently we have hard coded first names to vehicles, which will be replaced by actual driver names when we deploy
the driver specific Coin Fobs.
Driver Last Name - Currently we have hard coded last names to vehicles, which will be replaced by actual driver names when we deploy
the driver specific Coin Fobs.
Max Speed MPH we currently have the system set to capture the maximum speed a vehicle drove during the range of the report if the
driver exceeded 65 miles per hour.
Max Speeding Events the definition of an event is when a vehicle exceeds 65 MPH (for a 2 minute period). Additional event(s) will be
documented when a vehicle drives below 65 MPH for 2 minutes and then returns to a speed over 65 MPH for 2 minutes.
PSL Speeding Violations the system is set to track the number of times a vehicle drives 10 MPH faster than the posted speed limit (for
a 2 minutes period).
Rapid Acceleration Events The device has the ability to track the G-forces the driver experiences. These settings may need to be
adjusted over time as we monitor results. To trigger an event an individual must accelerate pushing the driver back in the seat.
Hard Braking Events - The device has the ability to track the G-forces the driver experiences. These settings may need to be adjusted
over time as we monitor results. To trigger an event an individual must brake hard and feel the seatbelt restrict their movement.
Distance Driven (mi) The devices we have installed send in a signal at least every 2 minutes or if the vehicle turns, allowing the system
to keep track of miles driven during the data range of the report.
Travel Time - The devices we have installed send in a signal at least every 2 minutes or if the vehicle turns, allowing the system to keep
track of the amount of time the vehicle engine was on and moving.
% of Day Traveling this is a calculation that takes the total amount of travel time and divides it by the vehicle total engine time.13

comes and goes multiple time the system only captures the last entry / arrival.

General Description - Allows management to gain an understanding how much
and how often our vehicles are running without the inverter, PTO, or strobes in use.
Each state has an Anti-idling law and this tool will provide information for us to
coach employees to build awareness of how much they are idling, the potential for
company fines, and the costs associated with Non-Working Idle.
Expectations / Communication
Communicate Anti-Idling Laws, and show employees the data being gathered.
Begin recognizing positive behaviors and coaching where behaviors have
opportunities (high cost of Non-Working Idle).
Coach individuals with consistently high levels of idling, stressing the laws that
we are required to follow, and help Eversource maintain a positive image in the
communities we serve.

Active Days the amount of days the vehicle was used during the date range of the report. To be counted as an active day the vehicle
needs to be turned on and driven at least 1 mile.
Vehicle Category this is the type of vehicle, we have standardized the vehicle type naming across all locations and organizations.
Engine Time the total amount of time the vehicle is running. The system is connected to the vehicles tachometer, so it will not track false
engine or idle time if the key is just in the on position.
Working Idle Time the amount of idle time where the vehicle is stopped and one of the following are in use: PTO, Inverter or Strobes.
Working Idle % of Engine Time this is a calculation that takes working idle as a percent of total engine time.
Wasted Idle Time the amount of time when the vehicle is stopped for greater than 3 minutes and NO PTO, Inverted or Strobes are in
use.
Wasted Idle % of Engine Time this is a calculation that takes wasted idle time and divides it by total engine time.
Wasted Idle Cost this is a calculation of wasted idle time multiplied by a fuel burn rate and the cost of a gallon of fuel. Large vehicle burn
fuel at a rate of approximately 1 gallon per hour and light vehicles half gallon per hour. We set a blended bur rate of .75 gallons per hour

with the stop sequence number on it so an individual can look at the map quickly to see the general route and stop locations.
Landmark When a vehicle stops at one of our Area Work Centers (AWC) it is documented on the report. This is a quick way to see if
vehicles are returning to the AWC frequently throughout the day.
Landmark Category AWC Landmarks are indicated by AWC the system has the ability to have multiple types of landmarks (i.e. sub-
station locations) , but we have not added that layer of information at this time.
Work Stop We are not using a data feed from our workmanagemnt system into the GPS system at this time.
