JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
 Conducting various stage wise inspections during the fabrication of Storage Tanks,
Pressure Vessels, Columns, Piping etc.
 Inspection of Incoming materials with its dimensions and MTC, verifying with
drawings and Purchase orders.
 Monitoring and checking of welding consumables, Certificates, NDE Consumables
etc.
 Monitoring the calibration of Welding machines, Baking ovens and other Measuring
and Testing Equipments.
 Inspection of fit up, weld visual during fabrication and final weld.
 Identifying the requirements of NDE and selection of joints.
 Co-ordinate with NDT personal and making arrangement for carrying out the NDT
Test like RT, MPI etc
 Witness, evaluation and interpretation of NDT techniques like RT, UT, MT, & PT.
 Checking peaking and banding values during tank construction. Plumbnesscheck and
out of roundness check during final inspection.
 Final visual and dimensional inspection of the equipments.
 Preparation of punch list before hydrotest.
 Conducting & monitoring of Vacuum box test ,RF Pad Test and other tests.
 Conducting Hydrotest and co ordinating with Client and TPI for witnessing the
Hydrotest.
 Inspection during coating activities like Blasting & painting.
 Witnessing Surface preparation complies with visual standard and coating complies
with the project specification
 Using Non Destructive test instrument to measure the coating thickness.
 Inspection of Holiday detection,Monitoring Adhesion pullofftest as per requirement,
 Monitoring Salt contamination test after blasting.
 Profile checking during Blasting, WFT & DFT Check during stage wise coating.
 Monitoring Salt Contamination Test after blasting.
