Simultaneously managed three of the company’s most challenging projects in a manner that exceeded the client’s

 Managed a $1.2M project to re-launch Kansas City Southern’s three websites (external, internal, and
customers).
 Implemented a $600K project to expand the use of the Esri GIS mapping software throughout the company.
 Deployed Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, a call center integration package in the US and Mexico.
COBALT TALON, KANSAS CITY, MO
Program Manager (Permanent) September 2012 – March 2014
Founded new Project Management Office (PMO) for a health care business intelligence company utilizing the
agile framework.
 Consulted with Blue Cross Blue Shield Kansas City on their $17M migration from one medical claims
processing, member enrollment, and billing services platform to another.
 Implemented a new PMO utilizing the Waterfall framework to stabilize a very chaotic environment and then
gained approval to move to the Agile framework.
 Managed ten to twelve business intelligence projects simultaneously.

Provided exemplary project management in a highly structured Project Management Office (PMO) environment.
 Led the expansion of Collective Brands into the country of Colombia utilizing the store-within-a-store
concept. This $400K IT project was expected to increase revenues $900K annually.
 Managed the $100K Abandoned Cart Ecommerce project. This was an initiative to solicit the return of
customers who abandon an order when shopping online.

Senior Program Manager (Consultant) May 2011 – April 2012
Served as a strong leader in a chaotic environment enabling multi-million dollar projects to be delivered on or
ahead of schedule and within budget.
 Managed the Express Scripts / Medco $30M specialty pharmacy IT migration. This included identifying the
impacted systems (e.g. Referral Processing, Prescription Processing, Fulfillment), forecasting resources,
detailing what changes needed to be made and building/managing the teams necessary to make the changes.

others assigned to the $4.7M ICD-10 transition project.
 Managed a $400K project to offshore the insurance verification and reauthorization functions to the
Philippines. This included working with the business, infrastructure group, development teams and a 3rd
party vendor to capture requirements, change the application software, and configure the data and telephony
networks. This project was implemented ahead of schedule and under budget.

Program Manager for multi-million dollar cross-departmental initiatives using existing and new processes,
procedures and tools. Led the charge to establish and promote a Project Management Office for FSA. Managed a
staff of twenty-three contractors through tumultuous times by keeping them focused on the achievement of
common shared goals.
 Promoted from Sr. Project Manager to Deputy Program Manager within four months of starting engagement.
 Managed 23 contractors; actively involved in the hiring, development of objectives, conducting performance
appraisals, motivating, disciplining, and other supervisory activities.
 Utilized the Agile framework to develop and implement the MILC and TAAP farm subsidy programs.
 Devised the Farm Bill Master Plan consisting of 42 individual project schedules that were linked together
through Microsoft Project Server; successfully readied the plan for implementation, by managing a cultural
change through formal training, individual consultation and continually engaging the management team.
 Adeptly managed the retirement of the System 36 / AS400 platform from the FSA environment. This
included migrating 25 applications to the Web and SAP, as well as, decommissioning the hardware and

High Availability-WMQ and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security.
