C-130 Outerwing Panel Shop
-Coordinated change, optimizing processes, ensuring
productivity, developmental, and production/post-production
problems are resolved in support of the manufacturing
process.
-Was tasked with the installation of the "rainbow fitting", a
key structural component which mates the inner and outer
wings together.
5. -Resolved manufacturing/supplier issues.
-Quickly gained knowledge of the planning sequence, which
helped the wing shop to produce wings in record time, while
conforming to strict military tolerances and mil-specs.
-Mastered using the Space-O-Matic, a tool which I used to
drill the 350 plus extremely close tolerance holes for taper-
lock fasteners located on the "rainbow fitting".

Aerotek Aviation
C-130 Gunship Modification Program
Crestview Aerospace, Crestview Fla.
-Was assigned to the sub-assembly section of the C-130
modification program.
-Duties included, assembly of new structural components,
which were then integrated onto modified structures.
-Was tasked with assembling chaffe flair dispensers, a task
in which ingenuity, detailed blue-print reading, and skill are
needed to complete.
-Volunteered to work weekends to work on misc.
discrepancies, critical in helping meet projected deadlines.

F-14 and F-18 IMC Integrated
Maintenance Program, Ocean NAS Virginia Beach, Virginia
-Performed depot level structural maintenance on both the
F-14 and F-18
aircraft.
-Disassembled, modified, and repaired aircraft structures
such as bulkheads, intake walls, rims, brackets, longerons,
fuselages, and stringers.
-Complied with all necessary blue prints, engineering
instructions, airframes changes, and NAVAIR Publications to
assure integrity and the quality of all repairs.
-Restored severely damaged panels and doors by installing
interference fit bushings and plugs, which required precision
drilling and reaming holes while maintaining tolerance of
plus or minus .005 in most cases.
-Utilized ingenuity and skills to complete required task in a
timely manner.
-Evaluated structures to locate cracks, breaks, corrosion,
6. holes, dents, and loose rivets in order to determine the
correct repair process.
-Received extensive training on various subjects such as
FOD(foreign object damage)prevention, corrosion
identification and prevention, HAZMAT
(hazardous material)use and storage, FA/18 and F/14
cockpit entry safety, and ORM (Operation Risk
Management.)
-Assisted in removal and close-up of doors and panels
during phase inspection.
-Carefully cut, bent, and shaped metals to ensure proper
alignment of aircraft structures.
-Sand blasted aircraft parts to inspect the extent of
corrosion.
-I used titanium, 1/4hard stainless steel, 6061 T6 and 2024
T3 aluminum to fabricate my repair parts.
-I used hi-loks, B100 and MLS blind rivets, AD rivets, steel
and titanium rivets to install my repairs.
Oct 1998 to Sept 2002
USAF Aircraft Structural Maintenance Journeyman
18th Maintenance Sq. Kadena AFB Okinawa,Japan
-Fabricated, repaired, assembled, and installed aircraft
structures, plastics, fiberglass, and bonded honeycomb
components on the HH-60 helo,F-15C and D model fighter
jets,KC-135 refueling aircraft, and both the AWACS and RC-
135 recon aircraft.
-Gained a majority of skills and experience while working on
HH-60 helos, most of them required extensive attention due
to severe corrosion that was brought on by the salt water
they were constantly exposed to.
-While working phase inspections of HH-60 helos I was often
responsible for the complete tear down of the belly area
underneath the floors, these areas always had the most
corrosion. After removing all damaged and corroded parts, I
then had to re-manufacture the parts from scratch and then
assemble them inside the aircraft.
-Assisted in the repair of a severely damaged radome on a
RC-135 aircraft which required extensive fiberglass
reconstruction, while working on a strict schedule handed
down from the Pentagon.
-Performed corrosion inspection and removal in the fuel cells
7. of F-15 fighter jets, a week long process which often
required the removal of all the sealant and sandblasting of
the lower portion of the compartment that holds the fuel
bladder.
-Re-created hydraulic tubing and cable assemblies using
blue prints and measurements from the original damaged
parts when new ones could not be ordered, thus saving the
Air Force time and money.
-Worked along with F-15 Phase Inspection Team to meet
deadlines by completing repairs ahead of schedule.
-While assuming the duty as operator of the 18th MXS
Structural South flight line vehicle, I was on-call to inspect
repair structural wear and damage to any and all aircraft on
the flight line, a duty which called for speed and accuracy.
-Became skilled in the use of many tools and machines such
as
drills, rivet guns, sandblasters, drill presses, slip-roll
formers, throat less shears, cherry max guns, tubing
benders, cornice
brake, band saw, micro-stop countersinks, micro shavers,
reamers, and counter bores.
