The Club Alpbach Trentino organized, with the support of the European Commission in Italy, a conference for students, academics and professionals. During this event the challenges and opportunities for the creation of a European digital single market will be discussed, which is one of the 10 political priorities the European Commission has defined for the 2015-2019 five-year period. The discussion will address, in two panels, two sides of this question: in the Data Economy panel, the entrepreneurial opportunities and the possible evolutions of the digital economy within a single European market; in the Data Policies panel, the regulatory challenges and integrations of the digital economy among Member States in terms of data protection, consumer protection, antitrust law and data portability.
