Early childhood education provides numerous benefits. It establishes a strong foundation for children's brain development through high-quality experiences. Research shows the brain develops from the bottom up in the early years, and early experiences directly impact brain quality and structure. Racially, culturally and developmentally responsive practices as well as parental involvement are critical for a strong foundation and positive early experiences. This document is a training manual for teachers and other stakeholders in Sierra Leone on providing basic psychosocial support (PSS) in education. It was developed with support from UKAID and involved various government and non-governmental organizations. The manual outlines a 3-day training program to help education professionals support student well-being through skills like psychological first aid. These skills are important as students return to school after over a year of closure due to the Ebola crisis, during which their psychosocial needs were compromised. The training covers topics like identifying those needing support, communication techniques, making referrals, and practicing skills through role-playing to help students cope with stress and build resilience.

Guidelines for Facilitating
Learning and Development
with Infants and Toddlers
By far the most important aspect of facilitating learning with infants and toddlers is understanding and responding to the fact that infants and toddlers are active, moti-
vated learners. Infants and toddlers constantly explore the world around them, including
people and relationships, and make sense of things based on their experiences and devel-
opmental abilities.
To facilitate means to make easier. Teachers who effectively facilitate learning make
it easier for infants and toddlers to explore, concentrate on learning, make discoveries,
and solve problems. Teachers can facilitate learning by creating situations that allow chil-
dren to pursue their interests actively, observing as children learn, and expanding oppor-
tunities for learning. Teachers should begin by finding out about the children’s interests
and abilities from their families. Information from the families provides the foundation
for observing children and being responsive to their inborn drive to learn and gain mas-
tery. Effective teachers observe what children do in the setting, give them time for prac-
tice and repetition, communicate with children about their play and discoveries, and then
offer suggestions to help children expand their exploration and experimentation.

The developmental stage that I have chosen is early childhood
Three ways I will meet the needs of children to support their language development in early childhood.
There are several ways in which one can meet the needs of a child and support their language development. Her, I am going to discuss several way I which I would meet the needs of a child in the early development stage and how I would help in supporting their language. Being a professional in this field, I surely understand the immediate needs of children in this stage and I know all the necessary steps that should be taken to ensure that these children have a good development in their language. It is not a easy thing to do, but one must understand the children first before trying to assist them in their needs. You will need to get close to them and try to understand each child personally as different children have different types of needs. There are those who will need more attention and there are those who will need less time and little attention to develop their language skills. After understanding this, one will now have an easier task of dealing with each child according to his or her needs. Special attention should however be on the children who have special needs. They need to be treated with special care as they will take more time than the rest of the children to understand and also develop language skills.
The other important thing is to develop a program that is well planned.
High-quality programs should be planned and applied by people who have skills and are knowledgeable about the young children and their process of learning. But even the best professionals usually find it helpful and rewarding to teach in the early childhood programs which use a curriculum as the focus for learning. A curriculum in early childhood gives an educator a clear vision of what a program that is appropriate for a certain age looks like and also a structure for making decisions on how to achieve the vision.
I would set up a Curriculum in early childhood include the following three components:
· Content-This will encompass the subject matter, the goals and objectives that I have for children’s language learning.
· Processes—This will explain and guide me how to teach, and state the ways in I will ensure that the children will achieve the objectives and goals of the curriculum.
· Context— It will encompass the physical setting the setting and the environment where the learning will take place.
With the above-mentioned processes I will surely help the children in their language development

Definiton of young_learnersSeven Characteristics of Adult LearnersSanjaya Koembara
Ìý
The document discusses the characteristics of young learners and adult learners. For young learners aged 9-10, they are beginners just starting to learn a foreign language. Teachers must provide basic lessons and be good role models to help lay the foundation for their learning. Young learners learn quickly through imitation and enjoy learning about their hobbies.
Adult learners come with a variety of life experiences and established beliefs that influence how they learn. They are self-directed, problem-solving oriented and motivated by lessons that are relevant to their needs and interests. Teachers must accommodate different learning styles and create an active, collaborative environment for adult learners.

2. This course is based on the
premise that the first teacher is our
'Mom.' The programme is de-
signed to help parents involve
their children in Islamic learning
and nurture their family upon
Islamic ethics.
Receive, Register, and Recall are the three phases of a child's
learning.
Receive - This is the stage in which the child acquires intelligence for
the first time. The majority of this takes place in the classroom.
Register - The point at which a child comprehends the information
that he or she has gained. This is most common at home. The child
begins to have doubts at this stage. The child will only be able to
comprehend it properly until these questions are cleared. When this
is not possible, it is either misunderstood or left unanswered.
Recall - The stage in which what has been understood is put into
action.
3. The second step is crucial due to the
fact that if the child does not receive
the assistance he or she requires at
this stage, he/she will either not learn
or will learn incorrectly. As a
consequence, it will be useless when
the need arises later.Ìý
This is extremely important in Islamic
Studies. After all, the main goal of
Islamic teachings is to live by it.
A student, for example, who learns a
new section of the Qur'an in class, he
or she should be able to read the
part very well with Tajweed.
However, when they return home
and attempt to recite it, they begin
to develop doubts. There is,
however, no one at home who can
puzzle out these doubts. Naturally,
