INTRODUCTION
Configuration: The Dyna-Cam engine is not a miracle engine but offers unique
advantages due to its configuration.
Power and Torque: It produces high power and torque.
Cylinder Count: It has 12 cylinders.
Piston Design: Each cylinder is equipped with a piston that is cut away in the
central interior portion.
Sinusoidal Cam: The piston is connected to a sinusoidal cam.
CONT.
Cam Placement: The sinusoidal cam is fixed over a driveshaft.
Mechanism: When the piston moves back and forth, the main cam rolls, causing
the driveshaft to turn.
Firing Pattern: Due to the design of the main cam, each of the 12 cylinders fires
with every revolution of the shaft.
Engine Type: The engine can be described as a freepiston, axially cam drive
engine.
A simple dyna cam engine with double ended piston
DESIGN OVERVIEW
Two identical cylindrical blocks with 6 cylinders each.
Double-ended pistons move between aligned cylinders.
Pistons fit around a 9 diameter, four-lobe sinusoidal cam on the main shaft.
Main cams motion through pistons turns the central shaft.
Roller bearings used for all moving surfaces.
Valve operation via smaller 5 cams and hydraulic lifters.
CONT.
External systems manage intake, fuel, cooling, and exhaust.
Adaptable for modern tech like electronic ignition and emissions control.
Higher torque, fuel efficiency, and reduced friction.
Design is certified, with minor refinements.
First engines in production with confirmed orders and payments.
FUEL USED
Dyna-Cam retains over 95% of its original power when supercharged or
turbocharged with compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane.
Conventional engines lose up to 30% of their power when modified for CNG or
propane use.
Dyna-Cam engine can easily adapt to CNG or propane fuel systems.
Potential for motor homes and buses to use Dyna-Cam engines with CNG,
propane, or unleaded gasoline for lower emissions, reduced vibration, and quieter
operation. Diesel is also compatible with the Dyna-Cam engine.
SPECIFICATIONS
Compact Design: The Dyna-Cam engine features a small turbine shape, requiring
50% less installation space compared to traditional engines.
Increased Torque: Despite its compact size, the Dyna-Cam engine can produce
twice the torque output, making it efficient and powerful.
Scalability: Depending on the success of the initial engine and potential additional
funding, the Dyna-Cam technology can be adapted to create larger or smaller
engine sizes.
CONT.
Versatility: The engine can be configured to deliver various levels of horsepower
and can be designed as turbocharged or supercharged engines.
Fuel Options: The Dyna-Cam engine can be designed to run on different fuels,
including diesel or jet fuel, providing flexibility in its applications.

ADVANTAGES
 Higher Power & Torque
 Easier to Rebuild
 Higher Reliability
 Quieter Operation
 50% Fewer Parts
 50% Smaller Size
 Better Fuel Economy
CONT.
 Longer Time Between Overhauls
 Very Fast Throttle Response
 Liquid Cooled
 Less Weight
 Smooth vibration free Operation
 Lower Maintenance Cost
COMPRESSION
Collaboration with Air Quality Management District and Los Angeles Regional
Technology Alliance.
Production of approximately 40 prototype engines by Herrmann Group and 25 by
Dyna-Cam Group.
Patents granted to Dennis Palmer and Edward Palmer in 1985 and around 2000.
Acquisition of Dyna-Cam Engine Corp by Aero-Marine Corp in 2003.
Redesign of the engine by Axial Vector, introducing advanced features.
CONT.
The redesigned Axial Vector engine diverged significantly from the original
Herrmann and Dyna-Cam Engine. The original engine used conventional valves,
piston rings, and accessories, and it was proven to power both an aircraft (Piper
Arrow) and a 20-foot Eliminator Ski Boat for an extended period.
TORQUE CHARACTERISTICS
.Dyna-Cam has Smooth Operating Characteristics because it has 12 Smaller firing
impulses per revolution versus 3 larger firing impulses of conventional 6 cylinder
engines.
This means the Dyna-Cam has less vibration, less shaking and quieter operation!
1. Aircrafts
Successfully installed in aircraft like Cessna Skymaster, LancAir, RV6, Atlantica,
Cessna 185, and others.
2. Marine
Targeting the marine industry with a market size of 200,000 engines sold annually.
Offers a smaller, lighter, and high-torque engine compared to competitors.
CONT.
3. Heavy-Duty Vehicles
Future potential for the engine in heavy-duty vehicles.
Aiming to provide an environmentally friendly power option for trucks and
tractors.
4. Industrial Uses:
Versatile industrial applications, including standby emergency power generation.
Can be fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG), liquid propane (LP), or auto gas.
CONT.
5. WIG & Hydro Craft
Exploring applications in Wing in Ground effect (WIG) flying boats for improved
performance.
WIG craft gaining recognition for their potential in various industries..
Dyna Cam or Revolver Cam engine fitted for aircraft use.
FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
Research and development on the basic engine is complete.
The engine is ready for production.
Future R&D efforts will focus on industry advancements in engine accessory
systems and alternative fuel capabilities.
Most advancements in engine technology are expected to be external to the engine
block and adaptable to the Dyna-Cam Engine.
CONT.
Significant R&D will only be pursued if new funds are specifically raised for tasks
like potential modifications for diesel or jet fuel compatibility.
CONCLUSION
 High power and torque.
 Potential for revolutionizing various industries.
Suitable for domestic applications due to low vibration.
 Prospects in motorsports, including Formula-1.
These points highlight the versatile advantages and future possibilities of the
Dyna-Cam Engine.
