E4FC OUTREACH MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY
The Outreach Manager provides overall leadership, vision and strategic direction for the
Outreach program with three core areas of responsibility:
1. Lead the design and implementation of E4FCs community education and outreach
efforts to inform undocumented students, parents, educators and allies about the
challenges and opportunities for undocumented young people in achieving dreams of
college, career and citizenship.
2. Recruit, train and mentor a team of undocumented youth leaders to serve as Outreach
Ambassadors.
3. Initiate and maintain strategic relationships with community outreach partners and key
stakeholders to advance the goals of the outreach program.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the planning, evaluation and ongoing growth of E4FCs Outreach program and
support a dynamic and effective Outreach staff team
 Lead yearly strategic work-planning process to develop program goals and objectives
 Track and analyze progress toward goals and evaluate overall effectiveness to inform
program development
 Prepare written progress reports and program summaries to contribute to funding
proposals, grant reports, and other E4FC materials
 Provide direct supervision, training, and delegation of tasks to Outreach Coordinator
Lead recruitment, training, and ongoing mentorship of a team of undocumented young
people serving as Outreach Ambassadors
 Lead annual recruitment, application and selection process for a team of 18-24 Outreach
Ambassadors (OAs)
 Design and implement monthly trainings on public speaking, leadership development
and the educational and immigration policy issues affecting undocumented young
people to increase their effectiveness at community presentations
 Collaborate with Policy Advocacy & Legal Services program managers to design and
facilitate joint team retreat(s) and create ongoing connection and mutual support across
teams
 Build the cohesiveness and collective identity of the Outreach Ambassadors as a team
and support Outreach Coordinator in providing ongoing evaluation and mentorship to
OAs in their development
 Support the Outreach Coordinator in addressing and resolving conflicts and challenges
that arise with OAs
Oversee E4FC community education and outreach efforts
 Identify, support and maintain strategic partnerships with community outreach partners
and key stakeholders to advance goals of the Outreach program
 Lead development of outreach content expertise and materials; Update and ensure
relevancy of presentations
 Oversee systems to process requests and ensure effective delivery of high-quality
information to E4FC target audiences in 9 Bay Area counties
 Create and implement plan for ongoing promotion of outreach presentations to key
target audiences; Lead ongoing contact & deepening of relationship with past outreach
requesters; Identify and build relationships with strategic partners in new regions to
understand local opportunities and needs
 Oversee processing and decision making on outreach requests from outside our core
target region
 Share personal testimony and lead presentations/workshops at key community events
Support broader E4FC organizational development and key communications efforts
 Participate in E4FC Management Team to support overall strategic growth of the
organization
 Engage in cross-program collaboration to strengthen collective impact
 Represent E4FC at key public events, presentations, funder events, and community
meetings
