[FOSS4G2018Tokyo] Development of geospatial data analysis technology based on...Young Hyun Lim
?
We introduce the activities of the OSGeo Korean Chapter and briefly introduce the Mango system's activities being performed in the OSGeo Korean Chapter.
We also introduce open source GIS analysis technologies being developed in Mango systems. We develop various spatial analysis techniques using popular Java-based open source libraries and software such as GeoTools, GeoServer, and uDig. We develop a system that can be integrated into server and desktop GIS.

- It focuses on topics like geospatial information, geographic information systems, and location-based services.
- The number of sponsoring companies decreased from 17 last year to 7 this year.
- 17 workshops are scheduled this year compared to 8 last year. The workshops will cover various mapping and geospatial technologies from companies like Google, OpenGeo, and Autodesk.
This document summarizes Toru Mori's presentation on activities of FOSS4G (Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial) at a January 22, 2008 event. It discusses how geospatial technologies have become integrated with the web/internet through services like Google Maps. It then outlines the growth of FOSS4G tools and standards supported by organizations like OSGeo, providing examples like MapServer, PostGIS, GRASS, and GDAL. It notes how FOSS4G allows for open collaboration and integration of systems from different vendors through open standards and data.
