The Nathan Timothy Foundation uses songwriting workshops to help children understand and address issues they face. The workshops last one school day, where children write lyrics, compose music, and record songs on themes like bullying. The Foundation asked GiveCampUK to create an online portal as a record of the organizations and workshops. The portal would bring together and extend access to the large quantity of creative output from each workshop. It would allow administrators and organizations to securely manage content, workshops, and feedback.

The Brief The Nathan Timothy Foundation (a.k.a Song Writing Charity) engage children in the artistic and collaborative exercise of song writing to help them better understand and address issues they face in every day life. The themes of the workshops they run focus on issues like bullying, healthy eating and the environment. The workshops last for one school day during which the kids pick the theme, write the lyrics, compose the melodies and harmonies, record the tracks, mix the song and design CD cover art. The Foundation asked GiveCampUK to help them create a portal that would be a living record of all the organisations they had worked with and all the workshops they had run. This portal would provide a way of bringing together the huge quantity of output each workshops creates, extending the experience outside of the workshop and creating a forum for feedback.
- 3. The Brief Create a way to showcase the songs, videos, lyrics and artwork in a searchable, browsable form. Allow the Foundations administrators to login securely and manage organisations, workshops and content. Allow organisations to login to manage their workshops and content, upload content, submit feedback comments etc. Keep the content hosted on public cloud like YouTube and SoundCloud and use embedding to bring it together.
