Snapshot
A qualified programmer turned business consultant. I worked as a software
developer for 2 years developing project management and time keeping
software. Along with this I also developed reports for 3 systems and was
also the database administrator for several environments internally and at
client sites. After building up experience in the programming world I moved
on to the consulting space full time at one of the leading banks in South-
Africa within my, then company, implementing software in multiple
environments and working with clients and users to improve their
experience and support day to day operations as well as handle any ad-hoc
requests as they arise. Along with the above, I was also leading a team of
support and technical staff to ensure the smooth running of systems,
helpdesk operations and correct working of integration of all related
systems at the bank’s project management office. I started working at
Yellowtail business solutions in January 2016 as a Technical Business
Consultant with my main role being to implement a complex software
system within big corporate companies, handle the integration between our
software and several client systems, support clients with any issues they
might have and also do some ad-hoc development work where needed.
Yellowtail Business Solutions offered me the opportunity to work in the
Netherlands for 3 months to hone my skills in our products. I did
implementations for big Banks in The Netherlands, while in The Netherlands
I also worked with our development team as an analyst on a new product
Yellowtail is going to bring to market, I did a lot of documentation for
clients, technical and functional documents. I also did some development
work myself where needed. Back in South-Africa I have been working with
the team in The Netherlands and teams from India and Cape Town. We
recently finished a 3-month project where we successfully moved from the
Bank’s testing environment to Production. Apart from work, I am a sport
fanatic, investor, collector and political nut. I play golf, cricket and squash. I
also like to stay fit, travel and explore beautiful South-Africa.
