The story revolves around Bill who crafts a paper sailboat for his brother Georgie, his 6-year-old brother. Later in the evening he sails the boat along the rainy streets of small-town Derry. only to have it fall down a storm drain. As he attempts to retrieve it pennywise the dancing clown appears inside the drain who later bites Georgies arm off and drags him into the sewer. The following story visualizes the way ben tries to find the killer of Georgie and its casualties faced by his friends and himself. The title is written in bold capital letters, in a messy childlike kind of way almost as though it has been carved from a knife or sharp object. The title is bright red luminous color and contrasts strongly against the dark and scary backgrounds which draws your attention from the rest of the text on the poster and the one who sees the poster for the first time only sees the title first. Just above the title there is a small title which references to a quote spoken in the movie from one of the character, which simply creates tension and fear towards the viewers as it implies death from the villain pennywise.
