The students at Vidyaa Vikas Matric HR Sec School in Tiruchengode noticed that other students were wasting drinking water by using it to wash their faces and lunch boxes. To address this, the students organized an awareness campaign called "Stop Wasting Water". They stood by water taps and encouraged their classmates to conserve water. They also posted informational charts. Over a week, they saw the daily water usage decrease from 18,000 litres to 15,000 litres. The principal was impressed with the results and agreed to hold more seminars and rallies to further promote water conservation at the school. The village had issues with water supply as some houses had their own submersible motors and irregular water connections. The Punjab government launched a World Bank project to provide safe drinking water. A village water works was constructed with a silver ionized plant but villagers were not using it for drinking, only for cattle and other uses. Students from Satya Bharti School educated villagers on proper water usage and prevention of water borne diseases, motivating them to use the treated water. Now 80 homes have regular connections and use the water works water for drinking and daily needs.

Fifth grade students at G Ross Elementary School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania created a project to address the lack of safe bike paths in their city. They went through a four step process of feeling the problem, imagining solutions, taking action, and sharing their project. The students met with city officials, created a petition and letter of support, and planned a Bike Rodeo community event to raise awareness of the need for designated bike paths. The students at School N1 in Birobidzhan, Russia worked to make their new school greener by planting flowers and plants with encouragement from their teachers. The participants from Russia organized an anti-drug campaign to warn young people in their small town about the dangers of drug abuse. They prepared a lecture and created posters and leaflets with information obtained from the Red Cross. They presented their campaign in their school, where students listened attentively. They hope to prevent drug addiction among youth and are proud of their work addressing this important issue in their community.

In the village of Palavathimmanapalli in Krishnagiri District, children created awareness among parents about the importance of saving water by closing taps immediately after use to prevent wastage. - 2. FEEL NOW A DAYS MANY PEOPLE ARE WASTING WATER AND BECAUSE OF THIS WE ARE FACING油 THE PROBLEM OF WATER SHORTAGE . SO THE STUDENTS DECIDED TO ENACT A STREET PLAY TO CREATE AWARENESS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND TIPS HOW YOU CAN SAVE WATER IN YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE.

Younger sister 油is late for breakfast as dentist said brush teeth for 3 minutes-- sister scolds her not to waste water and close the tap while brushing. Elder Sister wants 2 buckets of water for a bath and mother says absolutely no need- it is just a bad habit and 1 bucket is sufficient. Mother says to change bad 油wasteful habits!
- 5. Other sister wants big mug which mother says she has replaced with a smaller mug as it is just as effective and saves a lot of water. Servant washing clothes takes 20 minutes and tap is on all the time so now mother gives her a second 油bucket and guides her to first rinse clothes in the 2 buckets one after another and so no need to keep tap open as clean water flows off and dirt remains at the bottom and this ensures a saving of at least 10 buckets of water! FIVE YEARS LATER SCENARIO-- Acute water shortage- mother tells children to wear same uniform for 2 consecutive days as no water to wash them..油 servant complains that she cannot work with water problem.. neighbour says I told you to save water and I have built a RAIN WATER Harvesting tank and so have enough water for my daily needs so there is still time to take ACTION and 油hope for a better future.
- 7. This can become a reality so the audience was told that they should make these changes in their daily lives.
- 8. Placards Message. Heed the warning of mother earth. Close the leaky tap OR repair it Save water to save yourself. To save mother earth save water today. Use less water and harvest is sustainably.
