Tammy, an accountant, reminds her client Paul that it is time to organize tax documents and send them to her for filing. Her contact information has changed, and she provides the new address and email. She has set up a secure Dropbox folder for each client to upload their tax documents instead of emailing, with a $15 fee for those not using Dropbox. The letter lists the supporting documents needed and notes the fee for Paul's 2012 tax return preparation based on last year. E-filing will be used which provides faster refunds. Tammy is available by phone for any questions.

Dear Paul,
It is that time of year again; time to start organizing all of your tax documents and send them my way. As a
reminder, my address and email changed. Please see new information below.
For 2012 tax processing, I have set up a secure Dropbox folder for each one of my clients. Dropbox is an
online file sharing system and is more secure than email. When you have all of your information together,
please save it in the folder and share the link. Once you save your documents in your folder, I will be able to see
them. If you find it easier to email, that is fine too. There will be a $15 dollar charge for those not using the
Dropbox system or email.
Please save the following supporting information in the Dropbox folder:
Forms W-2 for wages, salaries and tips
All Forms 1099 for interest, dividends, miscellaneous income, etc. including student loan interest
Statements supporting deductions for mortgage interest and real estate taxes
Any itemized deduction support such as medical expenses, HSA forms, charitable contributions, license
plate tabs, etc.
Closing statements or any other documentation regarding the sale, purchase, or refinance of real property
Enclosed Client Organizer
Any other tax related information
Once your return is finished, I will save your return in the same Dropbox folder and you will receive an email
notification.
Based on the forms I prepared last year the forms and rate for your 2012 return is as follows:
Forms Rate
1040, Sch A, Sch C, MN $ 150.00
If your return takes more time than anticipated, or if you have some major changes from prior year, your fee
may change. I will discuss this with you prior to the preparation of your return.
E-filing provides many benefits: less paper, faster refunds and convenient payment options for those that owe. I
will once again be e-filing all individual returns.
If you have any questions, feel free to call me at 612-578-2587. I look forward to making tax time stressfree!!
Sincerely,
Tamara N. Johnson, CPA
