Kodi Glenn was born in Jacoby Hospital on September 18, 1996 in Harlem, New York where they currently live with their parents and pet cat Coffee. They enjoy playing video games with their dad, going on cruises, and sometimes playing basketball with their dad. Beverly Sandvos is a newcomer to Dublin who is volunteering at a fishing class to meet people. More than a dozen parents and children attended the class at the DCRC ponds to try and catch bluegill, bass, sunfish, and catfish. Though the fish weren't biting at first, one boy eventually caught one and excitedly announced it to his mother. Beverly drew on her childhood experiences fishing in Arkansas to help the children with tasks like baiting hooks and casting. Sharina was born in 1998 in Harlem Hospital and lives in Harlem with her grandmother and two uncles as her mother lives elsewhere. She attends University of TECNOLIGIE for 6th grade and enjoys reading in her room. Her favorite place to visit is her mother's house for the chocolate chip cookies. In this text we will see the twelve preserve their priorities while skillfully raising up a team of spiritually qualified Holy-Spirit-filled Greek-speaking Jewish Christians to meet these needs. The unity of the church was preserved and the gospel keeps moving forward. In this text, although they are not called "deacons", these 7 men clearly become the template for this future ministry of service to the church. We also see that the spread of the gospel will include some of the hardest to reach people, the very Sadducean priests who were persecuting the apostles and denying the resurrection of Jesus!

This morning our parish came together to mourn the passing of a dear friend, Derek DiGrgorio. Being diagnosed around the age of ten with Ataxia Telangiectasia, over half his life his ministry to others came from the position of sitting in a wheelchair. His gift his blessing to me and to all those around him was teaching us how he faced adversity how to take it head onand with the grace of God, how we convert those challenges to advantages.
