This document summarizes a project to identify and preserve at-risk oral history recordings documenting life during wartime periods in Wisconsin. Over 1,300 recordings were identified from 107 repositories across the state, covering topics from WWI to recent conflicts. Many collections were born-digital and lacked proper legal releases. An advisory committee provided guidance. The project aims to digitize the content, establish best practices for preservation, and make the recordings more accessible online through a centralized hub.
