Currently working with Musashi Auto Parts India Pvt. Ltd., as General Manager – Heat
Treatment & Forging Shop. Musashi Auto Parts is a TS-16949 certified Japanese MNC engaged
in manufacturing of engine & transmission components for 2 & 4 wheeler industries. Its major
customers are Honda Motorcycles, Suzuki Motorcycles, Hero Moto Corp & Honda Car India
Limited. The company has got a current turnover of US$ 230 million (FY 15~16). It has got 18
manufacturing facilities worldwide in 11 countries.
Roles and Responsibilities
 Working as a head of a profit centre (HT & Forging) & responsible for its P & L statements.
 Effective monitoring and control of departmental Investments and Expenditures.
 Heading a team of 245 direct work forces to meet daily production and quality targets.
 Alignment of departmental activities in line with business plan.
 Initiating the action plan to achieve the financial targets as per Head Quarter directions.
 Preparation of Annual Business Plan & strategy in line with the company’s vision.
 Long term Capacity and Capital Investment planning based on the business scenario.
 Monthly reporting of MIS data to the top management.
 Product & process wise costing.
 Interaction with external customers on the issues pertaining to Quality and to provide them
the countermeasures for the same.

support functions.
 VA/VE improvements, modifications in process, machines to achieve cost reduction targets.

million by localisation of dies & tools.

Worked with Daewoo Motors India Ltd. as Assistant Manager – HT Shop. Daewoo Motors was
An ISO 9002 certified company owned by Korea Development Bank (KDB) and having a total
investment of US $ 1 billion. It was one the state of art manufacturing facility for 300,000 engines,
& transmissions for midsized sedans.

 Responsible for daily production in Heat Treatment Shop.
 Plan vs Actual comparison and countermeasure for improvement.
 Co-ordination between machine shop & hard line.
 MIS reporting to the top management.
 Training and development of system & shop floor operators.
 Metallurgical inspection of heat treated parts for effective case depth, Microstructure &
hardness.
Notable contribution
 Successfully handled the green field project within the stipulated time line. The activities
included equipment selection, its installation, commissioning, and final trials till mass
production. The Heat Treatment shop having 3-continuous, 5-batch furnace & 1- Isothermal
annealing furnace from Dong woo Heat treating company, South Korea.
 Setting up of modern Metallurgical lab with instruments like Micro Vickers hardness tester,
Metallurgical microscope, Image analyser and other support instruments.
 Establishment, part validations & optimization of HT cycles for transmission gears.

Worked with Sona Koyo Steering Systems Ltd., Gurgaon as Section Executive Engineer. The
Company has a joint and technical collaboration with Koyo Seiko Company, Japan. The key
