The student created a 3D model of a western-themed robot sheriff over several modeling sessions using 3D modeling software. They began by designing the head, adding details like a hat, beard, and pixelated eyes. Subsequent sessions focused on modeling the body, arms, poncho, bandolier, guns, jetpack and legs. The student used reference images and box modeling techniques with primitive shapes. Textures were later added in another software to give materials appropriate appearances like metal, leather and fabric. The final 3D robot model was rendered from different angles to showcase the character.
The document describes four sculpture projects created by the author: a self portrait bust, a found object sculpture on social issues/bullying, a natural object sculpture using rocks and leaves, and an ancient/modern sculpture combining an ancient figure with modern plane wings. Joe Duffy reflects on his process for creating pixel art characters for his production. On day 1, he established files and guidelines. For the first character, Arwynn, he focused on proportions and details like her face, hair, coat, and sword. On day 2, he finished Arwynn and began the second character Fletcher, struggling with his complex curly hair. On day 3, he refined Arwynn and started the third character Celeste, redesigning her face. On day 4, he continued working on Fletcher's hair and face. On day 5, he refined details of Fletcher like his armor, arms, legs, boots, and dagger, adjusting colors for clarity.

Teaching with Contrived and Dramatized ExperiencesAladin Awa
油
Contrived experiences are edited copies of reality used as substitutes for real things in the classroom. They are designed to simulate real-life situations. Examples include models, mock-ups, specimens, simulations, and games. Dramatized experiences range from plays and pageants to tableaus, pantomimes, puppets, and role-playing. They are used to vividly portray ideas about life. There are five types of puppets: hand puppets, shadow puppets, finger-glove puppets, marionettes, and rod puppets. Role-playing involves students spontaneously acting out assigned roles in described situations. Both contrived and dramatized experiences motivate students and help them learn.
This document contains summaries of 14 drawings by Henry Moore from 1977-1983. Moore used a variety of mark-making techniques to depict forms, including loose lines, hatching, dots and dashes. Blind Spots in AI and Formulation Science Knowledge Pyramid (Updated Perspect...Ajaz Hussain
油
This presentation delves into the systemic blind spots within pharmaceutical science and regulatory systems, emphasizing the significance of "inactive ingredients" and their influence on therapeutic equivalence. These blind spots, indicative of normalized systemic failures, go beyond mere chance occurrences and are ingrained deeply enough to compromise decision-making processes and erode trust.
Historical instances like the 1938 FD&C Act and the Generic Drug Scandals underscore how crisis-triggered reforms often fail to address the fundamental issues, perpetuating inefficiencies and hazards.
The narrative advocates a shift from reactive crisis management to proactive, adaptable systems prioritizing continuous enhancement. Key hurdles involve challenging outdated assumptions regarding bioavailability, inadequately funded research ventures, and the impact of vague language in regulatory frameworks.
The rise of large language models (LLMs) presents promising solutions, albeit with accompanying risks necessitating thorough validation and seamless integration.
Tackling these blind spots demands a holistic approach, embracing adaptive learning and a steadfast commitment to self-improvement. By nurturing curiosity, refining regulatory terminology, and judiciously harnessing new technologies, the pharmaceutical sector can progress towards better public health service delivery and ensure the safety, efficacy, and real-world impact of drug products.

Marionettes
4. Hand or Glove Puppets
Controlled by wearing it over your hand
Mostly made from cloth
Light weight, only need 1 hand to operate
Person can use their fingers to move the puppets
hands
5. Finger Puppets
Simplest puppet
You can have multiple puppets on the one hand
They dont have any moveable limbs
Only movement is when the puppeteer bends or wiggles
their finger
6. Stick Puppets
Another simplified puppet
Using a cut out image or some sort of form place it on a
stick
Can move and rotate the stick
Can have loose limbs that have movement but there is no
control over them
7. Shadow Puppets
Is a flat figure puppet
It is all about using light to cast the shadow of the puppet
The shadow is cast onto a plain screen
It is essentially a stick puppet using the silhouette of the
puppet to tell a story
8. Marionette
Full length figures that the limbs can be controlled
All the limbs are attached by string to a control
The movement of the control makes the marionettes limbs
and body move the way the puppeteer desires
Some marionettes used Iron rods instead of string to
manipulate the arms and legs of the figure
9. History of Marionette Puppets
Marionette is one of the advanced style of puppetry
There was a string puppet character brought from Italy
called Punchinello later became known as Mr Punch
The first show of his was documented by Samuel Pepys in
1662 in Covent Garden
Thomas Holden was one of the main figures in English
Marionette making back then
Puppet theatre became a popular source of entertainment
in the 18th
century
11. My theme
My research area for Education Projects was Northern
Renaissance and Mannerism.
I decided to base it off the Mannerism movement and take
inspiration from the Northern Renaissance for the clothing
of the marionette.
With the Mannerism movement there is more areas to
adapt and take inspiration from. They changed the form of
the figure, elongating limbs and facial features and having
contorted unusual poses.
I felt that this would give me material to work with in
creating an interesting stylised marionette.
16. The Making Process
I started to create the shape of
the head, neck and body of my
marionette.
I used newspaper and masking
tape to help create the form.
I used this because it is light
weight and easy to manipulate
into shape.
In making the head and neck I
stretched the shape and
elongated the forms to
showcase the Mannerism
theme.
17. The Making Process
I created attachments out of wire for
the arms and legs to attach onto the
body.
This way it will allow full movement
of the limbs and still be lightweight
and durable.
I needed to secure the wire to the
body to make sure it wouldnt come
out of place.
18. The Making Process
I moved onto the limbs of the marionette.
I also stretched these forms too, making
them longer and skinner then they
should be.
This made it difficult to judge where they
should end due to the proportions not
being correct.
19. The Making Process
I played around with the size of the
arms, changing the lengths and placing
it beside the body to get an idea of size
and finally settled on the length.
I used wire as the base, having 2 wire
loops on either end for attachment and
simply layered newspaper around the
wire.
20. The Making Process
Once I had the main body and limbs
completed I focused on the head, trying
to create facial features.
This also proved a challenge as the
marionette is supposed to resemble me
but still have the Mannerisms
movements characteristics.
I used clay to sculpt the features of the
face, this made the manipulation of
features a lot easier. I would be able to
add more clay to certain areas to see did
it look right and take it away if not.
21. The Making Process
To prevent the clay from cracking I put
plaster bandage over the clay.
This might have been a mistake, as it added
a lot of weight to the form as well as covering
up some of the details that I had with the
clay. I needed to cover the clay as it would
crack.
23. Dressing the
Marionette
As previously mentioned I am
going to take inspiration from
my themes, particularly the
Northern Renaissance for the
clothing.
One of the most famous
paintings from the Northern
Renaissance period is The
Arnolfini Portrait.
I will be using similar clothing
to the woman in the painting.
