Ovo nije prica o meni, mada je ispricana u prvom licu. Ovo je i prica o tom srpskom gradu koji pati; o iznenadnoj slobodi i njenim brojnim paradoksima; o pokusajima rezima Slobodana Milosevica i njegovih saradnika iz opozicije da ponovo uspostave poslusnost; o jednom mentalitetu koji umire u mukama; o klicama sveta koji ce se mozda roditi, a za koji niko ne zna kakav ce biti. Da znam nesto o buducnosti, pisao bih o tome; posto malo znam o proslosti, pisem o sadasnjosti, o trenutku koji nestaje. O kratkom periodu izmedju polovine decembra 1996. i polovine jula 1997. godine, o dvesta dana koji nisu promenili svet, ali su zamalo promenili Srbiju.
