I have had the privilege of working with Cristina for the 2014-2015 school year at Lockhart Elementary. It was immediately obvious to me that Cristina is a leader. Within the first few months of school she organized a planning session held at her home, created a data driven goal for the fourth grade and brought an overall sense of unity to our team. Not only did she create a better environment to work in, she motivated our team to work harder and inspired everyone to push themselves to their fullest potential. Cristina is not only a leader; she is also a passionate and respected professional. She demonstrates daily the importance of building relationships with her students and the staff she works with. She goes above and beyond to make the people around her feel appreciated. In her classroom she provides alternative seating on exercise balls, an orderly environment for her students to learn in, and numerous organizational systems to empower her students. For her coworkers she built a fantastic mentor-mentee relationship with a student teacher, took on leadership responsibilities her first year at the school, and continually set up a professional and inviting environment when heading up meetings. Cristina stands up for what she believes in and delicately communicates her thoughts to those around her. I only worked with her for a year, but witnessed how much change she was able to create in such a short period of time. She would be an asset to any company. She is motivated, organized, and takes initiative when needed. I highly recommend her as a strong member to any team.
