- 2. OUR ANGELMAN SYNDROME NUMBERS 1 in 15000 births 3000 estimated cases in Argentina Of which, only 20% have been diagnosed. 280 families now inter-connected. 90% of the families live far away from urban centers with lack of information and assistance.
- 3. INTENSIVE THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM (I.T.P) During 4 days, our professional team evaluates and assists the child, giving at the same time advice and stability to the parents. We train therapists that accompany the parents to assure the continuity of the treatment. Furthermore, Casa Angelman offers a place to stay and spend the night to families and therapist that travel from other provinces or countries. 36 families are accommodated per year in the house to receive treatment and orientation. 19 professionals from different areas integrate our therapeutic team. 60 therapists receive training during this program per year. ? of medical and therapeutic fees are financed by Casa Angelman.

COMPLEMENTARY THERAPEUTIC ACTIVITIES Casa Angelman receives, on a daily basis, children and teenagers with Angelman syndrome, PDD (pervasive developmental disorder), Down Sindrome and similar pathologies. We offer therapies that are essential to boost our children capacities and that are not present in the official curricula of special education. 12 Therapeutic Areas: phonoaudiology, occupational and sensorial therapy, Dog assessed occupational therapy, kinesiology, osteopathy, nutrition, reflexology, yoga, art- therapy, music-therapy, horse assessed therapy, singing bowl therapy. 50 children assist weekly 70% of the children receive a grant for lack of coverage.
