The SWWE Regional Network were very pleased to welcome Aalok Sonawala, Head of PMO, National Programmes, Rider Levett Bucknall on 26 February, to BAWA for our first face to face event of 2025. Aalok is a member of APM’s Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APM’s PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMO’s within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

With a background in projects spanning more than 40 years, Tim Lyons specialised in the delivery of large, complex, multi-disciplinary programmes for clients including Crossrail, Network Rail, ExxonMobil, Siemens and in patent development. His first career was in broadcasting, where he designed and built commercial radio station studios in Manchester, Cardiff and Bristol, also working as a presenter and programme producer. - 3. iPhone 6S I have chosen to use an iPhone 6S as one of my props in my music video. An iPhone 6S is a popular smartphone that the target audience would recognise. The artist will be seen using this in the video.
- 4. Glass Bottle In the music video, I will be filming glass bottles being broken. This will be done under supervision.
- 5. Mercedes Benz E200 I have chosen to use a Mercedes Benz as one of my props in my music video. A Mercedes Benz is a high class car that the target audience would recognise. It will be used in multiple shots of the music video.
- 6. Locations - Interior One of the locations for my music video will be a music studio. This location will be used in several shots in the video. Majority of the third verse will be in the studio as the verse is quite fast paced and will suit this location.
- 8. Locations - Interior One of the locations for my music video will be a hall. This location will be used in several shots in the video. Majority of the first verse will be in the studio as the verse is quite slow paced and will suit this location.

This will also be used during the first and second verse as well as the chorus in which the shots will change between the different exterior locations.

He was a person of interest from the beginning of planning due to his confidence and comfortability in front of a camera. The artist’s name will also be Tamuka as it seemed unique and is also the performer’s name making it authentic. Extras There will be 1-4 males and females within the background of the music video. They will most likely be part of the narrative aspect of the video.
