The fox and the clever ducklings

Mother duck takes her two baby ducklings to the river each day and warns them not to go far or the fox will eat them. One day at the river, the hungry fox sees the ducklings alone and hatches a plan to catch them when mother duck leaves. He calls to them from the shore but the babies stay in the water as instructed. Angry, the fox jumps on a floating log to reach them but the current sweeps the log away with the fox, keeping the babies safe. Mother duck returns with food and they are all happy the fox is gone.

The dog stole a chunk of meat from the butcher but while crossing a stream with it in his mouth, he saw his own reflection in the water and thought it was another dog with a bigger piece of meat. When he barked and opened his mouth to scare it away, his own meat fell into the stream. He realized too late that it was just his reflection. Nani asks various sea creatures for help but they say the Puhi is too big. She cries on the shore and two tiny limpets called 'opihi offer to help. They climb onto the Puhi's body and eyes, blinding him. This allows Nani to rescue Ikaika while the 'opihi distract the Puhi. If you go far, the fox will eat you up. Every day the fox saw the baby ducklings. He wanted to eat them. But mother duck was big and strong. The fox was afraid of her.
