Balsall Common Primary School had a visit from Starchaser Industries, who brought a real rocket for the students to see. CEO Steve Bennett gave a talk about the history of Starchaser and rocketry. Each of the school's 21 classes got to see the rocket up close and launch a foot pump powered rocket. With help from local sponsors Carl Hemming and Tom Corsi, who have donated their time and expertise to mentor the students, the Year 6 pupils have been busy in rehearsals. Jaguar Landrover employees volunteered their time to paint fences and build a bug hotel at Balsall Common Primary School. A team of 15 staff braved damp weather to paint the school's Key Stage 1 fences and construct the Nature Club's Bug Hotel. Balsall Common Primary School Rugby Teams got a boost recently when they were supplied with not only a new strip but 20 new balls. Midshire Business Systems provided the team with a fantastic new strip, and M.A.Claims provided 20 new Rugby Balls. Danny Walden, Sales Manager at Midhsire Business Systems said, We have been working with Balsall Common Primary School for the past 5 years and we have formed a very strong partnership, not only through the provision and service of their photocopiers, but also with various sponsorship opportunities. We also sponsor their newsletter, printing it free of charge for them, along with supporting their Christmas and Summer Fairs. Balsall Common Primary school is one of the leading academies in the UK and Midshire is very proud to be associated with the school.
