Procrastination
Procrastination refers to the act of replacing high-priority or important actions with tasks of
lower priority, or choosing to do something that brings enjoyment while putting off
important tasks to a later time. I dont know if you do this but I think I am a master!
I read quite a revealing article last week that listed the top five regrets of the dying. They
go something like this. Ill start with the most common of all.
1. I wish Id had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others
expected of me
2. I wish I hadnt worked so hard
3. I wish Id had the courage to express my feelings
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier
I noticed something quite remarkable in these statements. They all started with I. They are
all things that the individual decided not to do. No blaming of others, no my parents didnt
let me so I never, just I wish I had, I wish I hadnt.
When the chips are down, we all know that it is up to us to make a difference to ourselves,
in the decisions we make all day, every day.
