Daniel F. Sauter is a chemical engineering student at the University at Buffalo anticipated to graduate in May 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He has worked on research converting biomass to alternative fuels and his senior design project involves designing a chemical plant to refine lactic acid into polylactic acid. His interests include alternative fuels, sustainability, and designing heat exchangers and reactors. He has relevant coursework, research experience, customer service skills from past food service jobs, and volunteer experience building an orphanage in Ghana.
