I experimented with adding textured backgrounds to a simple image in Photoshop to make it look more suitable for a horror movie poster. We trimmed video clips to match the original, ensuring all important scenes were included. By playing our rough cut against the original, we checked for any missing scenes and set the start and end frames. Our initial edit was too fast so we slowed the pace without altering the sound. We balanced the sound levels between clips to make the transitions smooth. Aalok is a member of APM’s Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APM’s PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMO’s within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

- 1. These were the different types of shots taken for our poster. As you can see above, we attempted to take photos with and without flash, opting for the image without flash in the end as there was no reflection and allowed the messages to be readable. Furthermore, we chose the shot in the middle because of the angle on the pillow and of the photograph allowing the audience to see the message.
- 2. We later decided to edit in a pair of hands holding the phone and these were a few of the varying test shots I had taken. We found it was easier to manipulate the hands holding on the phone itself and not the screen so we opted for the middle photo again due to the angle and placement of the hands as well as it appearing natural when looking at it as an overall poster.
