The SWWE Regional Network were very pleased to welcome Aalok Sonawala, Head of PMO, National Programmes, Rider Levett Bucknall on 26 February, to BAWA for our first face to face event of 2025. Aalok is a member of APMs Thames Valley Regional Network and also speaks to members of APMs PMO Interest Network, which aims to facilitate collaboration and learning, offer unbiased advice and guidance.
Tonight, Aalok planned to discuss the importance of a PMO within project-based organisations, the different types of PMO and their key elements, PMO governance and centres of excellence.
PMOs within an organisation can be centralised, hub and spoke with a central PMO with satellite PMOs globally, or embedded within projects. The appropriate structure will be determined by the specific business needs of the organisation. The PMO sits above PM delivery and the supply chain delivery teams.

- 2. Krishna saw the girl at the street- tap and fell in love with her. In the conservative society he could not openly love her. So he conveyed his love through eyes and smiles. Their parents came to know of this. The girls father was very much happy to see the young and handsome B.A. boy. As per the custom, he submitted the girls horoscope.
- 3. Krishnas father who had no faith in astrology was satisfied just with the girls credentials. But the girls father felt that matching of the horoscope is a must for the welfare of the couple. So krishnas father gave his sons horoscope. After some days, the girls father said that the star in the seventh house of the boy is dangerous. so the alliance is dropped and krishna felt stunned.
- 4. But when krishnas father consulted another astrology, that man said that the planet had lost its power and so the marriage could take place. The girls father was much confused. The boys father suggested to leave the matter to god. on a Friday ,both the parties assembled at a temple. The priest placed two flowers at the feet of god one red and other white.
- 5. Picking the white flower indicated the alliance. The red to stop the marriage proposal. A child of five was asked to pick up one flower only. Unable to bear the suspense krishna closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes the white flower was lying at the feet of God. Superstitious belief of the society had shattered all his sweet dreams of marriage.
