GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals. May 1997 to October 2015.
I began my career with GlaxoSmithKline as one of only two sales representatives in the state of
Wyoming. At that time I sold seven separate products. By today¡¯s standards, where two to three
products are the norm, it was very challenging. I was very successful in my early career and was
named Rookie of the Year for 1998. I had the highest Paxil market share in the region that year.
I have been honored with the Platinum Tier Award for having had the #1 SmithKline and French
territory in the region. At this time I also had the #1 Requip market share in the nation. My
dedication to the company is demonstrated by the fact that in my tenure I have had no fewer than
twenty eight different partners. Despite the limited time and numerous challenges, I was still able
to complete my Certified Medical Representative Training, as well as being one of the few
representatives that have been trained on all currently marketed products for the SmithKline
Beecham Heritage Division. In 2008, I was promoted to the Vaccines Specialty Division of
GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals. I am once again the only Immunization Specialist in the state of
Wyoming and am back to representing eleven products. This is a highly specialized field,
requiring a representative to become a full partner in his customer¡¯s business. In this role, I not
only deal with the pharmacology of each product, but also state and private contracting,
purchasing rebates and the Federal Vaccines for Children Program. One of the most rewarding
challenges over my career has been the launch of new products including: Coreg for congestive
heart failure and hypertension; Baycol for hyperlipidemia; Requip for Parkinson¡¯s Disease;
Paxil for depression and anxiety; Avandia for Type 2 diabetes, and Rotarix for the prevention of
Rotavirus- gastroenteritis. All of these launches proved to be extremely successful, and it was
always satisfying to think of how many people we helped to live better lives with these products.

I began my tenure with Food Services of America as a relief salesman following graduation from
the Food Service Professional Sales Training School. I was then assigned a previously
mismanaged route with the latitude to develop and improve the customer base. During this time I
increased the sales by 38%. My profit percentage increase from 6.9% to a high of 11.27%, while
dropping my accounts receivable from 21% to 6.59%. Other major accomplishments include:

As Assistant Manager, I generated and maintained first and second mortgages, auto loans and
finance sales. I personally closed 89% of all loans in the branch during a two month period and
maintained a 75% insurance sales penetration. Additional responsibilities included:
? Direct responsibility for all of Avco¡¯s sales finance dealers.
? Represented company at all major trade shows.
? Interviewed, tested and outlined hiring recommendations for job applicants.
? Performed new employee training and evaluations.
? Conducted branch audits as well as reconciling and analyzing all month end reports.

Began as a laborer and advanced to equipment operator. Assumed full responsibility for timely
completion of land clearance and preparation for real estate development. Operated and
maintained heavy equipment, purchased supplies, conducted percolation tests, trained and
supervised work crews. Worked closely with building inspectors, contractors and home buyers.
This position paid my way through college.
