E-skills are necessary to understand information organisation and become active citizens. This implies a long-life effort to truly understand information patterns, and is mandatory for university library users, who are going to be tomorrow's researchers and managers. Automation is going to replace most routine competencies in the next two decades, but creative thinking and digital making will be sought after by the job market. Universities, besides, need to train their staff becoming information-aware, in order to enhance the quality of the service and become more attractive for prospective students.
